Every time I see millennials exposed to zoomer fashion they instantly start seething. it's always some 20 year old celebrity who goes outside wearing baggy clothes with a graphic tee and millennials online start screeching shit like...
My friend texted me that she went out on the weekend and complained that everyone was wearing trainers and mullets.
And yeah, that might be kinda odd, but i grew up wearing baggie pants and spiked up blonde hair, i don't think i have any ground to stand on.
Like idk, when overwatch came out, it was an absolute blast. I wasn't looking forward to it at all, i didn't care for it a bit until i played it. It just got run into the ground slowly. Also they made team fortress 2 way WAY before, and yeah that's what they excites them.
Was it really that good? I heard it was overwatch from wish when it launched but then got better. I never tried it, because i didn't wanna learn something new.
I used isopropyl for a bit and found it highly underwhelming. It wasn't great for cleaning and it evaporated way to quick. It has it's uses but not in the house cleaning department
I'm super into mountain biking, and never bought a new bike in my life. The last one i bought was the most expensive bike i ever owned by a long shot, it was practically new and it was like a third of what it would've been new. Dude who sold it said he likes it, but it was bad for climbing, because it was too heavy. He showed me his brand new bike. On the way home i thought: so the carbon bike with aluminium swing arm is too heavy? So i looked up his new bike, which was like £8000-£9000 pounds and was roughly 600 grams lighter than the bike i bought off him. Bike prices might be insane, but i often feel like it's the people's own fault. Cyclists buy absolutely everything no matter the cost it seems.
My friend told me that his boss saw my ebike when i bought some bread and had to get one himself. He's an out of shape baker, and he bought himself a 10k e-ountain bike. That's more than i paid for my ebike, my downhill bike and the enduro i ride almost daily.
For some reason I've just never liked Spider-Man. He comes off as a whiney, ignorant child that never seems to grow up or mature despite everything he goes through. I love a good coming of age story, but he just never seems to become an adult.
I've tried scrubbing it several times with bar keepers friend soft cleanser and although it improves, it never goes away completely and it always comes back....
I helped a friend with a bathtub that had similar stains , but it was almost black. I have a high grid polishing sponge for email, but it was too much, so i whipped out car polish and it worked.
I don't think i'm a quick thinker guy, but my reflexes are shockingly good. Like i i sometimes knock something over while cooking and i just see it in the corner of my eyes and somehow catch it midair. But in this fraction of a second my inner monologue still goes: i just knocked something over, but what, oh right, i put the soda stream bottle on the counter because i just emptied the dishwasher. Oh no it's also probably the glass one, because i have three glass bottles and only one that is plastic, so this could bet really messy when it breaks, they are also kinda expensive.
And then i somehow hold it in my hand before i fully caught up. Kinda like when you snooze for 10 minutes but have like 2 hours worth of dreams.
In middle school i had this game where i would look at the teacher when he was talking and see how long i could sit there without listening. I thought that's the kind of thing everyone did. I went to a new school and i was way ahead in math foe example, so i would spend most of the time just not paying attention at all. I'm not joking when i blinked once and suddenly i didn't recognise anything on the whiteboard. I was like: holy shit, what happened, how long was i gone?
I think no one likes to learn things they have no interest in, and it's generally harder. For me it sometimes feels like when in a movie a grenade goes off and all you hear is that loud peeeeep. I know i should listen, i know it's very important but my brain just shuts off, and there is very little i can do. I can force myself to listen but the peeeep only gets quieter, but it's never gone.

You would think that when a company like Microsoft is catching so much shit, a company like sony would think it's a good move to do something good to look even better. But somehow they see it as a challange to be even worse somehow
I have friends who are Afghan who have had arranged marriages so this led me to be curious to ask, why does this practice still persist into the 21st century?
There's a trend towards lower speed limits in cities all over the world, but why is this happening? What is the research behind it? And what is the "correct" speed limit for cities, anyway?
In the next city where i live and the smaller almost cities around it, all side roads are 30km/h for a few years now. Some people seem to really hate it, and i kinda get why, when you drive there or live there and out of habit go 50 and get fined, it's hella expensive. But i'm super happy with it. 30 is plenty
They are used to playstation players who buy a console for twice the price it's worth through discord bots. I don't think they even know what a backlash is
It's probably a bit of this and a bit of that. I mean the game went from one of the best revied games to one of the worst in a day. There were refunds and a drop in players all at the same time.
I still think the biggest reason why they wanted to push their shitty platform is to artificially push player numbers. "Look how many people use our scam network, see?"
Now the hilarious part is that hopefully someone has to explain why people go these lengths, just to not join their shitty service.
If they truly go through that for the promotion, then they are idiots and deserve all the hate. Video games don't blow up because there is a commercial on time square that costs a million dollars, games blow up because they are good and people/youtubers and (yuck) influencers talk about it
Seen a lot of posts on Lemmy with vegan-adjacent sentiments but the comments are typically very critical of vegan ideas, even when they don't come from vegans themselves. Why is this topic in particular so polarising on the internet? Especially since unlike politics for example, it seems like people don't really get upset by it...
My dad always acts like i'm close to dying because i'm vegan. I work out every day, he eats meat 3 times a day and even his vegetables are unhealthy as fuck. He's so overweight that getting into his car is super exhausting. Pretty weird if someone like that gives you tips on how to eat right.
Dating apps got so much worse too. A couple of years ago i would always get a bunch of matches and maybe a third of them would actually be interested to talk. Now i get like a match a month or so and it's mainly for attention. Yeah sorry i'm not gonna wait a few days to get a "yes" back.
For me showering means standing in a windowless room staring at a blank wall for 20 minutes (I get lost in my thoughts). Also there are several steps and I have to think about each of them....
Sony brought out a console that was almost impossible to buy and has no games. Now they try to inflate their numbers by forcing people to make psn accounts. Fuck them. Not that i ever planned to buy a playstation, but i make sure to stay away from everything sony related
