    Agreed, time is on the Russian side. A ceasefire, esp until Trump gets reelected, or doesn't, and causes a civil war, gives him space to regroup and rearm with Indian and Chinese gear.

    Either way the US will be chaotic after the election and funding a foreign war may not be a thing, esp. if there is a domestic insurgency. And Europe still doesn't have what it takes, and probably won't, to meet any needs.

    Timing attacks are a thing and behavior can be correlated by metadata and situational considerations, e.g. Bob only uses his VPN at night, and only for 21 minutes on average. Jane uses her VPN from roughly 830am to 515pm M-F. What do those patterns mean?

    But so long as it works and the costs are low, use the VPN constantly. And always check for leaks.

    Did it to learn. Mostly because I had no wifi / internet at home during the time, but did have a burned CD and a book. Was useful, but when I started using Linux as a daily driver I went straight to Ubuntu, and later Fedora

    Do recommend for learning and tinkering though.

    Take some time to figure out what packages you need and how long it'll take to recreate those. If not too crazy then do the fresh install. Obviously back up all your shit and save any relevant configurations
