Orchard expansion in Canada's wine country stirs fears a key wildlife corridor will be harmed (apnews.com)

New cherry varieties and climate change in British Columbia’s interior have enabled the fruit to grow at higher than usual elevations. Leader of the Workers Party of Britain, George Galloway, said what I believe to be the best comment ever about his losing rivals.

"Keir Starmer and Rishi Sunak are two cheeks of the same backside and they both got well and truly spanked tonight here in Rochdale."

So in other words it needs corporate welfare.

Israel, the IDF and Netanhayu ... that's who.

“Right now we need to make sure that his body is transferred to Navalny’s family and to the west for testing,” said Osechkin. “But there is a big risk that Putin’s special forces will cremate him instead.”

That would take care of ever finding out the truth.

Jfc. Putin "wins" again if this happens.

The report by the Global Nutrition Cluster, an aid partnership led by UNICEF, says more than 90% of children under 5 in Gaza eat two or fewer food groups a day, known as severe food poverty. Yup. Especially since measles wipes out our immune system's memory.

So any immunity you've developed from a vaccine - polio, rubella, mumps, etc - or from living through an illness - chicken pox, flu, colds, malaria, COVID - is gone.

If you thought the last pandemic was bad, you ain't seen nothing yet.

I encourage you to get tested to make sure you have the measles antibodies ... and if not, get a booster shot.

That is not to say we should be complacent, however. Dr Benjamin Jacobs, an expert on rickets at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, Middlesex, says that whereas in the 1980s it was unusual to see a case of rickets, today, sadly, the condition is no longer a rarity. “I see at least three children with rickets each year; each case is a heartbreak,” he says.

According to the response, an officer reviewed the file and spoke to the province's Ministry of Children and Family Services before meeting the teen.

"Based upon the information obtained by Officer 1, he had reasonable and probable grounds to believe that the plaintiff was a child in imminent danger and should be apprehended pursuant to s. 27 of the Child, Family, and Community Service Act," the response says.

Bullshit. The cop didn't like that a 16 yr old girl wasn't immediately following his orders so decided to force her to.

I'm unsure how you equate a pro-Palestinan march with anti-semitism when they are CLEARLY not the same thing.

I don't hate Jews or Israelis. I hate that Netanyahu has decided to murder over 30,000 people - mostly women and children - to divert attention away from his corruption trial.

I hate that nations around the world sit back and do nothing while thousands are killed to satiate his bloodlust.

And I hate it when people like yourself refuse to use critical thinking skills when looking at all the facts available, and see who's really responsible for this shit storm.

Was it right for Hamas to kidnap Israelis? No it wasn't. But that should never be an excuse for an elected leader, who's in an active court case on corruption charges, to murder 10's of thousands of women and children.

No. The article clearly states why ...

The changes to Connect Clinic stemmed from the Ontario government's move to a hybrid model for funding. The shift meant family physicians like Greenaway would have to pair virtual care with in-person visits.

But Greenaway's practice was based in Toronto, far from her patients in rural Ontario, which ruled out in-person visits. If she had to switch to the hybrid model, her goal of reaching rural Ontarians would be impossible, she said.

This is on doing his best to kill Ontarians.

I work with organizations to help the homeless in our area, and many of them simply refuse help.

I've worked with unhoused people (and been unhoused myself). The only time I've known unhoused people reject help is that they often haven't been offered the help they want instead of the help you want to give.

If you haven't asked them what they want, just told them what you'll provide, it isn't helping them ... it's just making you feel better.
