Now I want to play LEGO Racers again. I recently got LEGO 2K Drive from Humble Monthly but... It's not really the same...

Is really possible to understand the magnitude of ones own brain?

Think about it. The more you learned about your brain the more complex it would become. Also I'm not sure we have enough capacity to reflect on ourselves by processing everything. Think about the massive complexity of every connection. Could someone actually process that or are we limited by ourselves?

No. My genius is so vast it boggles my own mind. Sometimes it scares me.

How to make a month go by as fast as possible other than sleeping

I'm having some personal issues causing some severe depression and anxiety. I'd like to get past this time as fast as possible, and my days are dragging on. I can't sleep, which would be a good way to make time go fast. But I also can't just play video games, I don't have the motivation to play more than a few minutes and it...

Well, let's see...

Time in your local frame of reference slows down the closer you are to a gravitational force. This will give you the perception the rest of the universe is going much faster. However, you'd need a pretty strong gravitational force to notice any effect of it.

A black hole is one of the most powerful sources of gravity out there, but if you don't want to waste millions of years travelling to some far away celestial body, you can find an even stronger gravitational force much closer to home:

Your mum.

Read books, read newspapers, chat on the land-line phone for hours.

Before the cliché of everyone being with their faces in smartphones there were clichés about husbands who do nothing but read newspapers all day, or teenage daughters that massively inflate the phone bill because she's talking with her friends for hours, or children with square eyes watching brain rotting cartoons all day.

Welp... There goes physical media...

Tattorack ,
@Tattorack@lemmy.world avatar

You are very much missing the point for the sake of a pedantic argument.

Someone else already perfectly illustrated the point in a comment below, so I guess I'm spared the effort.

Tattorack ,
@Tattorack@lemmy.world avatar

Oh hey guys, I found the redneck.

Tattorack ,
@Tattorack@lemmy.world avatar

There's nothing unearned about it. :)

@Tattorack@lemmy.world avatar

Oh no, plenty bad happens here. Just that when comparing to the problems the US has... Yeah, it's a good reminder of how well everything works over here, despite the problems.

Tattorack ,
@Tattorack@lemmy.world avatar

They're not delusions if things are actually better here.

Tattorack ,
@Tattorack@lemmy.world avatar

The US is overall a shithole masquerading as a first world country, only on the basis that the US is lucky enough to have had Europe use the dollar to rebuild after WWII. You'd have to squint incredibly hard to find any place comparable to Europe in the US, and then you'd still be stuck with car centric neighbourhoods and healthcare that'll put you in a life debt for stubbing your toe.

I guess you've never heard of German cryptids... Or Polish cryptids... Oooor Nordic cryptids...

Tattorack ,
@Tattorack@lemmy.world avatar

The amount of times I've seen the headline "Putin tells [/Insert_Country] that [/Insert_UkraineAid] would be a 'big mistake'"...

Tattorack ,
@Tattorack@lemmy.world avatar

I still technically am an insider of Behind Good and Evil 2, but I haven't heard a single bloody thing for YEARS. 10 by now, I think.

This is the first time I've heard anything about the franchise and it's not even from an insider email... Or even remotely related to the prequel that was supposedly well into its development.

Tattorack ,
@Tattorack@lemmy.world avatar

When I was invited to be part of the insider program there was a special insider forum and I was given two surveys to do. This was all within the first few months of the invites going out.

Ever since then it's been dead silent.

You telling me you don't love LEGO?

That's... That's starting to sound a lot like heresy.

Tattorack ,
@Tattorack@lemmy.world avatar

LEGO's plastic is very good quality, can last for literal generations, and isn't meant to be thrown out after a single use.

Tattorack ,
@Tattorack@lemmy.world avatar

Warhammer LEGO!? That would be awesome!

(And also potentially bring back some of those sought after Bionicle pieces). It would go against LEGO's "no guns" policy, but they've broken that policy so often and in so many ways by now it's more of a vague suggestion.

Half the time piped links won't work for me and the other half of the time the videos buffer incredibly slow.

Tattorack ,
@Tattorack@lemmy.world avatar

I mean, yeah, that's true... On the basis that it's the worst social media platform for... Anything at all.

Tattorack ,
@Tattorack@lemmy.world avatar

Dead monkeys and apes, yes. The bodycount in primates for the development of Neuralink isn't... Fun.

Tattorack ,
@Tattorack@lemmy.world avatar

It's been nearly a year and we're still calling it "X, formerly Twitter". XD

Tattorack ,
@Tattorack@lemmy.world avatar

Is this what the next Gnome will look like? Very clean.

Tattorack ,
@Tattorack@lemmy.world avatar

Playstation controllers got it right, or at least, their kind of configuration. Doesn't have to specifically be a controller from PlayStation.

Anything with offset analogue sticks is cancerous to use.

Tattorack ,
@Tattorack@lemmy.world avatar

No, he's right. You sound like you're writing a corporate ad.

Tattorack ,
@Tattorack@lemmy.world avatar

How about heavily carbon taxing the rich cunts, hmm?

You know, instead of another bullshit scheme to offset the responsibility of climate change to the majority of the population with the least control over it?

Tattorack ,
@Tattorack@lemmy.world avatar

Jesus Christ, you're calling another person a traitor over... this. XD

You Americans are like a bad parody. What a terrible farce this is.

Tattorack ,
@Tattorack@lemmy.world avatar

Yeah, this whole explanation is just you saying "Our country is broken and I don't want to fix it".

Tattorack ,
@Tattorack@lemmy.world avatar

I always torrent large FOSS projects where possible. It's faster and doesn't tax the servers of the project.

That's not piracy, though, so I'm not sure why it's being talked about here...

Tattorack ,
@Tattorack@lemmy.world avatar

Warframe's community is the nicest, least toxic community I've ever encountered. Not saying there aren't toxic ass holes, there certainly are, but compared to other online game communities I've been part of the Warframe community is a breath of fresh air.

Tattorack ,
@Tattorack@lemmy.world avatar

Bitch please, America has been wildly successful in undermining US reputation on social media.

Jist listening to one of your politicians talk in their own speech is enough.

Tattorack ,
@Tattorack@lemmy.world avatar

Sounds like you've never hung out with the French.

Tattorack ,
@Tattorack@lemmy.world avatar

Like crap? Renewables are good in places where they work. Nuclear works everywhere and is more reliable.

Investors pulling out of a nuclear project like this just looks like a, really dumb kneejerk reaction. "Oh! New shiny thing!"
