I understand that people enter the world of self hosting for various reasons. I am trying to dip my toes in this ocean to try and get away from privacy-offending centralised services such as Google, Cloudflare, AWS, etc....
If you do it right you shouldn't get hacked. Even if you do you can keep good immutable backups so you can restore. Also make sure you monitor everything for bad behavior or red flags.
Don't drink soda and especially don't trash talk a soda flavor while drinking another equally artificially sweetened drink. Soda is bad for you end of story. If you choose to drink it you are limiting your life span and quality of life. Its your call but don't do marketing for a massive industry.
It is a problem because it is very high in sugar. Also the carbonation is bad for your bones.
A little sugar isn't bad but we are talking something that is pure sugar in a form that can be consumed easily. This makes soda bad as you can easily exceed health limits.
Take a look at your board. How many sources of interference do you see? Historically a lot of the board was analog. Now they are digital. Unless your board is a fire hazard that shouldn't happen. It just isn't how it works. If USB affects audio you machine is probably toast and fuses should of blown.
Calling it Lee anything is pretty dark. The name comes from slavery and and discrimination. It is tied to white supremacy groups that go around and hang African Americans they don't like. Black Americans were dragged out of houses by a mob and then beaten heavily before finally being hung on a tree branch. (The KKK is the group I'm referring to)
Of course this was not all of America and this kind of behavior has since stopped and we now we aim to stop racism not promote it.
Here are the lyrics to a Billie Holiday song called "strange fruit" (it is in reference to lynchings)
[Verse 1]
Southern trees bear a strange fruit
Blood on the leaves and blood at the root
Black bodies swinging in the Southern breeze
Strange fruit hanging from the poplar trees
[Verse 2]
Pastoral scene of the gallant south
The bulging eyes and the twisted mouth
Scent of magnolias, sweet and fresh
Then the sudden smell of burning flesh
[Verse 3]
Here is a fruit for the crows to pluck
For the rain to gather, for the wind to suck
For the sun to rot, for the tree to drop
Here is a strange and bitter crop
I know that the answer is yes, I should, but outlets near the setup are not grounded (even though they look like they are) and I don't want to have wires running though my living room....

The US population only accounts for 4.2% of the world.
Is it practically impossible for a newcomer selfhost without using centralised services, and get DDOSed or hacked?
I understand that people enter the world of self hosting for various reasons. I am trying to dip my toes in this ocean to try and get away from privacy-offending centralised services such as Google, Cloudflare, AWS, etc....
Cloudflare is bad. Youre right.
Centralization is bad for everyone everywhere....
