@kde another feature forced really hard on users, with Konsole this time: the color preview

I can't remember when this landed in KDE as it just added to the list of "new KDE features" I tried to ignore while struggling to keep focus, but that list never ceases to expand 😬

moreover, the option to disable that color preview feature I don't need is burried deep: the only way to turn it off is by creating a new Konsole profile 🤦‍♂️

Off-Topic: this is truly beautiful. I'm reading this thread in jerboa, which is a Lemmy Client for android, and yet it seems that it's actually a thread on Mastodon. I love this interoperability of the fediverse!

Basic functions of HID should still work under windows for the same reason why they work mod-less under Linux. But when those devices are not HID-conform then you would need drivers/a kernel-mod.

    I've watched this video before you posted, so to hammer my point home I also downvoted this post.

    Why you may ask? The essayist is not willing to accept that different software have different workflows. He also peddles Gimp as an alternative to Photoshop, those days have long gone (perhaps 3.0 will change that, any day now...). The alternative to Photoshop is Krita or Photopea.

    And why UX/UI is bad? well donate money, resources and or work and perhaps things get better.

    Server as heating device - how do I do this?

    So I have this silly idea/longterm project of wanting to run a server on renewables on my farm. And I would like to reuse the heat generated by the server, for example to heat a grow room, or simply my house. How much heat does a server produce, and where would you consider it best applied? Has anyone built such a thing?

    Sure the Processors can get hot. But is it enough to heat a room tremendously for your needs? I somehow doubt it.

    You would need to retinker the Heat spreader on your cooler.
