This coup looks like no other in Latin American history. Even the opposition parties denounced it, and there was virtually no division in the military

The people guiding Biden at least have an interest in keeping the united states functional. The people guiding Trump want to watch it burn.

I've always said that AI will never replace quality art, just the repetitive formulaic garbage. This is a good thing.

We also need to incentivize people to move to somewhere other than the GTA

Some days it'll be like that, take 2 ( sh.itjust.works )

I lost four spokes on my morning commute when the chain decided to jump off the big cog. Of course I don't have a spoke protector. (Who needs a dork disc? Bad things won't happen if you keep your bike maintained. /s) I was lucky to skid to a stop rather than crash when the rear wheel locked up....

rbesfe ,

Honestly if they broke that easily it was only a matter of time before a big shock to the rear wheel did the same thing

What are you, a time traveller from 1859?

How do you think Jimmy carter failed to address these issues policy wise?

rbesfe ,

The fact they chose Kevin Hart to play Roland shows how little they care about the games themselves

Did you even read the export list? There's a reason it says "military goods" and not "weapons"

There have been massive anti-government protests in Israel, you just aren't paying attention. I'm sure Palestinians in Gaza would protest Hamas if they weren't busy trying to feed their families.

rbesfe ,

Good. I'd rather not open our already overwhelmed healthcare system to people who aren't paying into it and aren't even citizens or permanent residents.

Unless you live next to a PTFE manufacturing plant, you are not at risk of PFOS exposure.

Headphone jack was killed as of the 5a

Is it the comments or the posts? I just don't open comments anywhere except lemmy now

rbesfe ,

The military prepares for all sorts of possibilities all the time, doesn't mean any of them will actually come to pass. Why post this?

rbesfe ,

Even the most bigoted parts of the US are nowhere near as xenophobic as Japan. Housing discrimination based on race is still perfectly acceptable over there, many people will refuse to rent to foreigners.
