Jaskirat Singh Sidhu’s lawyer has said there are still numerous other legal procedures to come, and the deportation process could take months or years.
I doubt it. This is one chucklefuck not paying attention. He killed a bunch of people and should never see the light of day again.
It’s not like this was a tragic accident of sliding on ice, swerving to avoid a car, or any number of things. This human decided to barrel through a stop sign and murder children. Whatever he gets isn’t enough.
Just my small sample size of the people I interact with outside work (no engineers think AI is actually general AI) lots of people think AI is some 2001 Hal level intelligence.
President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that Ukraine's partners "are afraid of Russia losing the war" and would like Kyiv "to win in such a way that Russia does not lose," Zelensky said in a meeting with journalists attended by the Kyiv Independent....
You are entirely wrong. Russian doctrine with nuclear weapons has cases in which nuclear weapons would be detonated as area deniability. You nuke an ingress route, it will keep infantry and tanks from being able to attack in that direction.
They also had doctrine about losing land and essentially turning it into a Carthage situation and making it completely unlivable.
The MAGA people rarely travel outside of their county and think going to Applebees in the nearest college town of 5,000 is going to the big city. Why they hate it.
They act like it their tax dollars when in fact most of them don’t work and sit around in their Methlandia towns on fake fibromyalgia disability claims.
And it’s not like public transportation (at least here in the USA) is worth a shit, it’s an option of last resort.
It would take me three hours to get to my job using a bus due to the routes. To get home even longer because the buses stop running and I would have to ride my bike at sunset.
Also most of these people in management roles seldom are the ones doing anything. A lot of them are either HR MBA type people, or sales. They don’t know anything of how a company actually works, what the jobs entail, or how to run a company.
Usually these companies all run in spite of them doing their best efforts to make it run as awful as possible.
What happened at my last job. The absolute moron head of HR told the engineers with 5-20 years experience how “we are all lucky to have jobs, and we would be flipping burgers at McDonalds if it were not for him”.
Most of us left, he didn’t even give us counter offer and said how we will all be begging him for our jobs back. He was dismissed by the Japanese management a few months later and told to never return.
I was convinced to play Pacific Drive, where the land attacks your car. There are many good hazards in that game to help slow people down. The random columns rising from the ground might do the trick, and help get bad drivers off the road.
But don’t you see, unless there is one magical silver bullet solution that fixes everything then it’s all worthless and we should go back to dumping CFC’s into the atmosphere.

A lot of it has to do with the title, as it insinuates you either have an understanding, or are the reason women would pick the bear. This completely leaves out the innocuous “I don’t understand” group of men, which makes up a large chunk of people.
They don’t understand, so they are a predator? Well now they have joined the conversation on the wrong side which contributes to the defensiveness and increases the toxicity.
Most men will never have to deal with someone stalking us. We don’t live in fear of a male attacker trying to rape us, roofy us, and in fact most dudes get to walk around like male lions most our lives and just hang out not worrying about much of anything. I was this way until having close female friends in the army, and we had a candid conversation about this when I took one of them home after she had been slipped something.
I have been ridiculously aware of the man-in-the-woods since then, and it has gotten more keen after having kids.
Seen a lot of posts on Lemmy with vegan-adjacent sentiments but the comments are typically very critical of vegan ideas, even when they don't come from vegans themselves. Why is this topic in particular so polarising on the internet? Especially since unlike politics for example, it seems like people don't really get upset by it...
They also view it as a silver bullet solution to most of the world’s climate problems. I have heard and read so many of them say how if everyone were vegan, pollution would almost disappear overnight and the earth would be saved.
They of course are the loudest vegans possible and make the rest look bad.
I knew I had to have the talk about men when my girls turned nine. They were playing basketball and one of the dads made a comment about a girl and said “she is going to grow up and look like Mia Kalif (I don’t know how to spell her name, the porn star) and be a hot piece of ass.”
Oh, yeah…you mean that nine year old? The fuck is wrong with you.
I was in the smoky mountains with my kids camping, and we heard a bear digging around. My kids started crying, they for sure knew they were dead.
I got out of the tent, stomped my feet so the bear heard me and wasn’t startled, and then went “boogaaboogaaa” and raised my arms. Poor little black bear went running off and kept looking back.
And my kids had a really cool story about when their dad chased away a giant scary bear.
Most rural towns would be dead in a month if a civil war happened. All those towns produce is meth, teenage pregnancy, and fibromyalgia disability. When the Dollar General runs out of food they will start killing each other.
I can see a few banjo clans attempting to invade cities and set up roadblocks.
The reality of it all is that rural/conservative America is already involved in a proxy civil war with the rest of america. They are using the Republican politicians as weapons to steal our tax dollars and funnel it into their failed existence while they pretend their gasoline corn is something good for the world.
I am a veteran of two wars, first priority is getting my kids out somewhere safe. Doubt I would come back after that. Will cheer for you all, but with republicans existing the USA just doesn’t even feel worth fighting for.
Every single person who votes Trump is a traitor. Yeah, you, that random person (not the guy I am replying to) who is reading this and voting Trump. Fuck you, traitor.
A lot of the education programs in prison are equally vile. They have people learn a few skills or trades, then when they get out they learn it’s impossible to get a state license in that trade because they are felons.
