We need a more comprehensive solution @LukefromDC
The world in general, and Jews in particular, will be safer when the Zionist state no longer exists.
As Miko Peled observed, Israel and Palestine are the same place. He believes that Jews and Arabs can live together peacefully. That may be true, but by all appearances, it's true of probably less than 20% of the population. The remaining 80% would need to be homed elsewhere.
Palestine is sacred to more than Judaism and Islam. Ideally, I'd like to see it established as World Heritage. Protected by the world at large and thus needing no armed forces. I can dream, can't I?
What of the other 80%? Netanyahu advocates a state in Sinai for Palestinians, so let's make that two states. I think of them as sanatoria. Unarmed and heavily guarded, to protect them from each other and the world from them.
American war journalist Arwa Damon, reporting from Gaza, provides a glimpse into neighborhoods devastated by Israeli airstrikes, underscoring the dire living conditions faced by Palestinians who are now homeless.
> Al-Wadiya was involved in “the development and advancement of the organization’s missile array,” the military said in a statement.
>
> The IDF said he was also a “source of knowledge” within the Islamic Jihad, in the fields of electronics and chemistry.
@DropBear@palestine@israel Strange how they sound EXACTLY like the Republicans who project their own evil deeds onto their enemies.
Justifying their murderous actions in the name of their religion, utterly disgusting.
@israelwarcrimes@palestine@israel
He sounds a bit off to me. Imagine when he goes back to Pittsburgh or wherever. I hope they're targeted like pedos in the neighborhood. Crazy world
“HOW MAINSTREAM MEDIA IGNORES UK MILITARY SUPPORT FOR ISRAEL: Britain does much more than simply sell weapons to Israel, but you wouldn’t know it from watching the BBC.”
“But there’s another side to the problem of the media: the stories that are not covered and the uncomfortable truths (for Israel and its supporters) that are not acknowledged.
This is particularly the case when it comes to the issue of how the UK military has contributed to Israel’s assault on Gaza.”
[..]
“The failure of the mainstream media to address the genocide in Gaza is all too clear when looking at the euphemistic language they use and the sources they highlight.
But we also have to look beneath the surface: to the stories that the media choose not to pursue because that would draw attention to the complicity of all those at the heart of the British establishment who have helped to facilitate the war crimes currently taking place in Gaza.”
“DAVID LAMMY’S BIG IDEA: NOTHING WILL CHANGE UNDER LABOUR: The man who wants to be foreign secretary is reassuring elite audiences that UK foreign policy will not seriously change under a Keir Starmer government - a strategy confirmed in Labour’s election manifesto.”
“Why are Lammy and Labour so supportive of Israel, despite the extent of its atrocities and British public opposition to the attacks on Gaza?
One reason is that Lammy is Washington’s man in Labour and cannot be seen to upset policy-makers in the US who consistently facilitate Israel’s onslaught on Palestinians.
Lammy has constantly signalled that Labour foreign policy under his leadership will deviate little from Washington’s priorities, and he has been a regular visitor to a string of elite, establishment fora in the US.
The other reason is that Lammy is, like 20 percent of his fellow Labour MPs, a recipient of funds from the Israel lobby. Since becoming an MP in 2000, he has accepted donations from the Israel lobby on numerous occasions, the value amounting to £32,550, Declassified has found.”
Not to forget using aid truck as the mean of military operations which is clearly made as a crime in Geneva convention.
Question is, will it have any impact on the favorable relationship between US, UK and EU with Israel? Or it's going to be one another crimes comitted by Israel that goes unpunished.
@DropBear@Uneek@palestine@israel Yes! What I don’t like about this ordeal is the fact that too many politicians have wasted precious time talking & holding meetings. We need to see action being displayed. If other countries or nations don’t want to stand up for what is right then what exactly are they willing to stand up for? My Goodness Gaza is only so big & I am sick & tired of read articles or news reports of innocent people dying who had nothing to do with the conflict .
@kolev@palestine@israel
And similar like “Gay” and “Queer”, the term was co-opted by the victims of this discrimination.
Ironically, it was then co-opted by the Zionist schisms of Christianity and Judaism to quash criticism of their discriminatory behaviours towards other semitic cultures.
@pinkdrunkenelephants@GM7077@israel@palestine@figstick The American people so have a choice btw: 2 genocides or 4. It would be silly to blame them for the 2 they have no choice not to vote for. It would be completely alright to blame them for the other 2, if the election decides they should occur. And it would be downright evil to suggest that voting for 4 by default is better than voting for 2 by active action.
"... the Jewish Council of Australia calls on the Government to immediately cut all military ties and place sanctions on Israel.
The Albanese Government must also place travel bans on extremist settlers and those suspected of war crimes. These actions would be in line with Australia’s obligations as a signatory to the Genocide Convention."
"Dr Max Kaiser, Executive Officer, Jewish Council of Australia
Probably a case of too long didn't read ... but here goes :)
"In Australia, we don't really know what our Jewish community thinks"
In Australia the Murdoch, Stokes and Costello MSM ... aka the Media Streaming Misinformation ... decide who will hear what ... and 'our' national broadcaster repeats what they say/write as news.
And because all four companies are influenced by the political views of their 'leaders' the churnalists say and write the most horrendous stuff ...
To them it's all about power over their Sub$criber$ gullible minds. Nasty spiteful lot.
Sadly only the lobbyists with the longest reach and the loudest voice have the most frequent access to politicians and their mouthpiece media ...
Badly, all politicians are scared witless of being labelled 'Anti-Semitic' ... and while most Israelis are Semitic (so are Arabs), the other religions there are also Anti-Muslim/Islamophobic ...
Fact is ... the Religionists living in Israel are there waiting for the fulfillment of the 'prophecy' about the 'second coming' on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem (which they want all to themselves) ... when Israel is 'regathered' as in all Arabs have been killed or driven out of 'their' land.
For millions it is the hope/prayer they will be one of the 144,000 to go to heaven ... or at the very least, one of 'the meek' who will inherit the earth and have dominion over all ...
"All recent polling has been conducted by highly biased bodies and on small, decidedly skewed samples"
That applies to all polling ...
I have been doing online surveys and polls for years and can tell you the way questions are worded can influence the answer.
And answers often contradict each other and/or ask the same question worded differently.
Some ask for an opinion then give a scenario and asked if that 'knowledge' alters the opinion ... which more often than not would as the scenario is usually an ounce of truth with a pound of lies.
And while the pollsters may have 100,000 people on their books ... like the Guardian's Essential ... the replies usually consists of less than 2000 people. For MSM the replies are often only a few hundred ... and that is not a fair representation.
And while all polls/surveys claim there are no right or wrong answers, there are ... and one soon finds out on political surveys when it is terminated at the beginning because of 'wrong' demographic ie age, gender, location ... or about half way through when it gets to the 'who did you vote for at the last election' part ...
For me, Hind is the face of the Zionists' genocide @TanyaGKasim
Her fate and that of far too many children of Gaza is why we must keep striving for the dismantling of the Zionist state.
It's not going to happen, but it's a step towards the right direction.
Judging by the way #ICC charged #Hamas, every ranking military serving in Gaza to be charged with #WarCrimes, just like they did with those in #Bosnia and #Rwandan.
But sadly, just #Netanyahu and #Gantz were those they could dare charging.
@faab64@palestine@israel I'm not sure and can see how one might make the opposite argument: it's good that they did not "bad apple" the Israeli crimes by charging some specific Israeli soldiers with documented blood on their hands, but by charging Netanyahu and Gallant, they clearly signalled that the crimes are deliberate policy. Which is much more valuable support for the parallel ICJ process too.
