They were photos from 1945, when USSR and USA liberated the concentration camps and the world could at last see pictures of how fascists have been treating fellow human beings : Slavs, Jews, gays, communists...

As a French and living in Paris at that, I can tell you Israeli athletes are NOT bienvenus here and a lot of noise, fuss and boohs are gonna welcome them in each and every competition they're gonna be involved in.

It ij positively outrageous a country comitting and , a country where and are Palestinian everyday life should be welcomed in Olympics.
Historically, all Greek tribes had do put a hold on their wars if they wanted to participate to OG.

Russia has been banned from all international events for a war that made 5 times less civilian victims in 2 years than Israel in 8 months.
(Don't get me wrong, Russian agression of Ukraine is NOT ok).

On the 29 October 2023, while travelling to visit relatives in Jordan, Tamimi was detained at Allenby Bridge and last heard of when the family was telephoned by an anonymous woman from Silwan from Hadassah hospital where he had been taken after suffering from a dangerous rise in blood pressure. His voice can be heard reassuring the family that he was all right. Some time later, the woman sent a photo of him bound in Ziptie cuffs as he underwent his checkup. The family learnt he had been sentenced to 6 months of administration detention in early November. He was permitted a visit from his lawyer shortly before Eid al-Fitr in April 2024. On the expiry of his first detention, the sentence was renewed under secret hearings. A friend who suffered the same fate was released and enabled Tamimi'ss lawyer to ascertain some elements surrounding the circumstances and reasons for his incarceration. When Haaretz attempted to publish what it called ‘the Kafkaesque proceedings of judicial review, the Israeli military censor blacked out alarge part of their report. Tamimi now is one of Israel now holds 7016 Palestinian held in detention without any conviction. 60% are being held without charges being laid or a trial leading to conviction. 271

    Listening to Amy Goodman's daily express on Dem Now ! this monday, I heard her saying something like that, I presumed I didn't listen well, but then she said she would name this Jewish family in the wednesday edition.

    So it is actually true.
    You have no idea how releaved I am to witness this level of understanding that shouting "wolf, wolf !" for anything anytime is dangerous, since when the wolf/antisemites are really gonna unveil, nobody will belieeve it anymore.

    That's what we teach to 1st graders, right ?

    Protected, as in no Muslim could harm a Jewish without the local authorities arresting him and investigating thouroughly.
