To use the Montreal subway (the Métro), you tap a paper ticket against the turnstile and it opens. The ticket works through a system called NFC, but what's happening internally? How does the ticket work without a battery? How does it communicate with the turnstile? And how can it be so cheap that you can throw the ticket away...
The work bathroom is currently a warzone, on their phone speakers people like to play music, play games at full blast, and one guy likes to chill to ambient rainforest. What song can I play to passive aggressively make it known that I don't want to listen to their tik tok feeds while I work out my demons?

"Hi this is mark from instagram, so a face scan wasnt enough to verify your account. We sent you vials to fill with your dna, so we can be 100% sure.just to verify that you are who you say you are thanks!."
When Bloomberg reported that Spotify would be upping the cost of its premium subscription from $9.99 to $10.99, and including 15 hours of audiobooks per month in the U.S., the change sounded like a win for songwriters and publishers. Higher subscription prices typically equate to a bump in U.S. mechanical royalties — but not...
Fun fact of the day The orginal creator of spotify asked a bunch of artists to use there works for his business pitch.
And they denied him, to which for his business pitch for investors he pirated audio for the demo.
So everything spotify says about piracy is ironic, because without piracy they wouldnt exist.
My theory is that apple wont let the developer share there code for IOS because of "security"
I remember an emulator (retro arch i think?) Got on ios at one point and was later removed because it showed apples file system layout. Which apples reason was "because it could be used to make malware for IOS"
I feel like there is some similar thing with signal IOS

I understand the intent, but feel that there are so many other loopholes that put much worse weapons on the street than a printer. Besides, my prints can barely sustain normal use, much less a bullet being fired from them. I would think that this is more of a risk to the person holding the gun than who it's pointing at.
Shhhh dont tell new york that anybody can by a lathe or a mill.
Or forbid A CNC
Requiring a backround check for a 3d printer is idiotic at best. Whats next a flat bastard file?
You could use it to form metal to make weapons!
Not to deburr or make somthing harmless.
