I don't bother going outside that much, so when I found myself in Bern main train station during rush hour this morning, my brain went from Mondrian to Pollock in about half a second. Talk about sensory overload.

@Richard_Littler @actuallyautistic yeah but you have to admit. Mondrian made better Cybermen... The Pollock Cybermen were all over the place :D

@Richard_Littler @actuallyautistic "from Mondrian to Pollock" is a great phrase. I will be stealing it.

It's summertime and, as is the tradition, all my neighbours' kids are outside screaming/shrieking relentlessly in a pitch that only dogs (and, as it turns out, autistics) can hear.
'Tis the season of the almighty noise-cancelling headphone.

Kids being kids, after months inside in a boring classroom where they were forced to be quiet...and still. Maybe we should join them and get our ya-ya's out...

If you've ever wondered what it's like being autistic with ADHD, it's a bit like this for me. (I always assumed everybody thought like this).

@Richard_Littler @actuallyautistic All it needs is an earworm song simultaneously playing in the background + a back-seat commentator voice freaking out that I’m maybe going off the rails in this conversation and it’s 100% accurate for me

Pretty sure I got it, but can you pop it in an email so we can refer back to it later?

It has taken me two years to change my bio from "Neurodivergent, apparently" to just "Neurodivergent". Despite being open about my and , the 'apparently' must have been a subconscious way of distancing myself from the diagnosis somehow.
