Of course he does. Buisness as usual for him is going to include more setteler violence and intrusions on the West Bank coupled with mass arrests of Palestinians with no recourse. Unless the ceasfire includeds statehood theres almost no way Netanyahu doesn't get the better deal out of ceasefire.
This comes right after Israel sending a delegation to the US to “talk about” the war in Lebanon and the so called war in Gaza, too. Presumably to talk about hey you’re gonna bankroll those into the fall, like always, right?
No matter what happens. I'm going to be watching out for Israeli backed shit in the US and avoiding it. I had really no opinion before all of this. Now I want Israel out of my government.
I imagine this is the kind of sentiment that really scares the Israeli government and probably the people of Israel. Most people didn't really care before but now everyone has an opinion on Israel and it's generally not good. Potential political isolation aside, the social isolation's gonna be a big problem for them too.
Officials running the Pentagon and State Department have been in overdrive for more than 250 days in support of Israel’s ongoing slaughter of Palestinian civilians in Gaza. Supposedly dedicated to defense and diplomacy, those officials have worked to implement and disguise Washington’s war policies, which have taken more lives than any other government in this century.
The USDA told Reuters that Mexican exports from the western state of Michoacán have not been blocked. Additionally, avocados and mangos already in transit wouldn’t be affected by the suspension of inspections, which would be paused "until further notice."
So we're saying "if you beat up our people, we'll stop enforcing our policies and still do business with you"
Cool
I'll make a point to not buy Mexican avocados and mangos until this is fully resolved because who knows what's happening with them if the people who are charged with ensuring their safety get beaten up.
US inspects warehouses where food is imported from. The inspectors got beat up/threatened. Not the first time. There was an avocado pause during COVID too
In my country we have a mandatory "Nutri-Score" that goes from "A" (good for you) to "E" (pure junk).
Guess what? Plain white toast has a score of "A", because the companies successfully exploited loopholes in the ruling. So if the companies can basically print bogus scores on junk food, how should a normal layperson know good from bad?
Hamas claimed that one of the three hostages killed by israeli bombing during the recent massacare was American. Might want to consider to stop arms transfers and solve every single issue in one fell swoop.
Honestly, good. Israel's PM is not looking for the off ramp here, so the US should act in it's own interest (for once) when our ally wants to keep the military operation going.
Don't we provide all the weapons? We could definitely stop doing that and at least force Israel to find another source for weaponry if they insist on continuing.
Fool me thrice, and you're officially that guy. You know the one. The kind of guy who shows up to a party. Everyone dlse brought home cooked dishes, many people brought wine and whiskey. But you show up with some sparkling bottled water, because you're looking to consume more than you paid. You're the guy who's looking to "beat the system". You're THAT guy.
Fool me repeatedly and obviously for close to a century over things everyone knows is just bullshit and about money? Welcome to international economic politics.
