Is there a need to close it? Not really hurting anything?

I added a sticky to this one redirecting people to the feddit.org board. I don’t want to delete it immediately as not everyone here is necessarily subscribed there, let’s give it a bit of a transition window for people to notice before I delete the sub.

We defederated them a while ago over here. Along with some right wing instances too. The extremists from either side of the political spectrum really spoil the experience.

Peter Magyar is an incredible name for a Hungarian politician, it would basically be like having the name John America lol

This is good news, but if I understand the article correctly, it sounds like the EU is not actually passing along the seized assets, but the interest generated on it - so e.g. a few billion per year in dividends and whatnot, as opposed to the underlying hundreds of billions they seized from Russia.

I’m a iOS developer just lurking here but, are paid features in custom ROMs common? Since they’re all downstream of AOSP, wouldn’t it be possible to bypass anything like that fairly easily by just commenting out the paywalls and building the ROM yourself?

R&D is cheap when you steal it from western companies!

It’s because “home” in this formation is an adverb, whereas school is a noun. You can be an adverb- I’m surprised, I’m exhuasted… - but you must be at a noun (or on, or in, or some other preposition).

Imagine going on vacation to a foreign country and physically attacking the locals for something they’re doing. Nobody is forcing you to travel abroad. If you don’t like it, don’t go.

For those of you wondering how this is useful, tobacco is often used as a model organism in botany. The utility of this technique is less obvious in tobacco but more obvious in fruits, vegetables, etc. think seedless grapes, etc
