I used to use NewPipe back in the days of yore. Then I got Youtube Premium since it bundled in Youtube Music as well which I used. But the former's app on mobile is a shit show. Why not browse your subscriptions through subscriptions section? I understand that it's annoying that you can't make it default on startup in the app but it's there.
Today, I am sharing the news that Samsung Next has made necessary organizational changes in the Tel Aviv office to consolidate its activities. Israel remains an attractive market for Samsung Next, and the existing relationships with partners and portfolio companies will remain unchanged.
If you ride a bus without a ticket, other passengers will have to pay more because upkeep and salaries are more or less a fixed cost. That is if you can afford the ticket, it's irrelevant otherwise. Also depends on profit margins but I think it explains the point.
I was merely explaining how one comes to this line of thinking which is what OP was asking about. I also mentioned some holes in this logic so I think it's clear it's not an opinion I actually hold.
It takes no effort to come up with made up antivax lines of reasoning since they don't have to be true. Disproving them takes much more effort so it's worth knowing the most common ones.
Disproving them won't even change antivaxer minds but it's more about not being caught off-guard by bullshit. Education won't fix it either. Those magical thinking movements are built on ruling elites being being proven untrustworthy time and time again.
Google being an ass about alternative YouTube clients is somewhat dumb but they likely prefer to control user experience. They're a for profit entity so it shouldn't be that surprising. Google kicking users that cost them money is not dumb.
We'll never know since we don't have numbers that Google does. Sadly, that also makes Google the best candidate to determine what's the best strategy for them :p

If you're after moderate right flavored discussion I sympathize but you'll have trouble finding it as the broader right has been consumed by alt right and far right. If your point is that those viewpoints specifically are missing from Lemmy then I'd say it's a good riddance. I just wish Lemmy was as hard on some immature leftie takes.
