Are there any good casual/low-stress mobile games that aren't filled with microtransactions? For example: easy puzzle games, match-3 games, low-difficulty adventure games, or clicker-style games....
If they were guaranteed to be the correct subtitles for the show I might not be as mad about it (as I would be if they moved the current system behind a paywall)
No one noticed for years (I am a girl and girls often have different symptoms than boys)
I asked my psychiatrist for help with work accommodations due to concentration issues and they wanted me to go to a neuropsychologist (thousands of dollars with insurance)
Switched to a different provider who immediately diagnosed me after a single page questionnaire. Got meds. No drug test required.
Ended up switching to another provider for reasons - they wanted me to get tested again because they didn't like the prior test ($$$).
Got the diagnosis but still couldn't refill the original meds I was on because of other health issues. Went untreated for about a year before receiving clearance from a specialist. Drug tests required monthly ($$$).
Had to switch providers yet again for reasons - they almost made me get tested again but I somehow convinced them not to. Got meds. Drug tests every few months ($$$).
I agree with you, however I want to mention (for the international crowd) that health insurance is insanely expensive. If you are disabled and can't work (and live in a red state) you are fucked unless you have family who can help. No job = no subsidies for ACA insurance as well.
(Red state = right wing/Republican; ACA insurance is the government subsidized insurance that Obama started)
I've lived under a rock for 10 years. I did Metro ages ago while most were still on contracts. Surely we've reached true capitalist open market freedom by now. Is it still total closed market, noncompetitive, privateering corruption?
Years later, I was a child waiting for Columbia to land when all of the adults started acting weird...then we found out. But i didn't quite understand at first. I remember wondering how they landed in Houston when they were planning on Florida. I was smart enough to know that that wasn't really an option but not enough to put it together until later.
I've been a social media hermit for the past 3 years but recently I've given up and created a few accounts across different apps again. It's unreal how strict the requirements are now....
Similarly, I was on a sort of diary forum and someone decided to share their very graphic life story with no warning whatsoever.
I mean I get why they shared it but it was so horrifying to know that a child went through that. I mean I know there's always the possibility it was a fake post but given what I know about confirmed cases (including someone I know personally), I believe it.
Crochet for me. It took me forever to figure out how to do it - to even get one simple stitch done. Somehow I figured it out but it's still really hard
I’m guessing it’s from dry air god me but even with humidifier I always have to blow my nose a bunch of times in the morning. Sometimes my lungs feel tight for a while after waking up. This happen to anybody else? Why does it happen for you?
Fascinating. I had assumed it was everywhere but I looked it up and it does seem pretty rare globally. It has caused illness in countries nearby you though so be careful traveling :)
Mine currently sounds a little too much like the birds we have around here, which causes me to either panic because my phone must be going off a lot (and therefore something bad has happened) or I completely ignore it, admiring said birds (and potentially miss an important notification)
More health than fitness but I couldn't find a could place to ask. Basically, I'm not sure where to start with all of this. All of these are from my physicians due to various health conditions I have. I know I need to ramp up to them. All of these are per day....
I probably way underestimated my current protein intake tbh. I don't really have much of a conceptual understanding of how much any of this stuff is
I'm not sure what my intake should be. I looked at one of those calculators and it says maintenance is around 1900. So I should probably start with that until I get used to measuring stuff and then aim for dropping some weight.
Thanks for the app rec (and your help!), I will check it out.
All of it (multiple doctors contributed). The losing weight is technically my number but all of them want me to lose weight, I just picked a number to get me to a "healthy" BMI. I know BMI isn't the greatest measurement but that's what I've got lol
I'm not sure how long they were in for but by the time I learned about it they were $75k+ in.
They met on some app that I can't remember what it was called. One of the weird ones that was in the news. Some sort of messaging app.
Anyway, the person I knew was some sort of computery accountant type person (not sure exactly what they did just know it involved both lol) so I was shocked that they fell for it.
They asked me to help them so I tried but they went right back to it. What's crazy is the person scamming them gave them access to an account that had like $1M in it. So I'm not sure why they believed the person needed money?? So weird.
I used to do surveys as a CEO of a megacorp making lots of money
Turns out they give more money to you if you're already rich...(probably because rich people don't really do that stuff so they want more of their data)

Does the USA have any open market cellular options that are legitimate pay-as-you-go and only for what you use options like Europe yet?
