It's already happening anyways on non ev cars and has been for years. They all have monitors and tech in there.

Damn that's unfortunate. I had my 2023 Honda for over a year and a bit over 20k miles. Been lucky so far that everything works fine, I've driven it up a mountain a couple times when I've gone camping too.

They'll literally never lower prices. Look at what prices for everything are right now. Their excuse was that covid was driving up prices, now that covid is over they realized they could charge more so here we are.

That's probably the reason why there aren't any truly good apps out there. Similar to how phones don't even have radio antenas anymore. I miss being able to use my old phone with a speaker for the drive in theater. Had to get a new radio Bluetooth speaker to replace it.

Not just those, iirc it's some sort of chip that is no longer put into phones cause of money reasons. I've only owned phones with a jack slot and my current phone doesn't have fm capabilities, I've checked.

The only real way for vr to explode would be for already established companies to make vr controls for their games, I'm thinking service games specifically. Imagine roaming in ff14 or wow in VR. I would still do hardcore content with standard controllers but I would 100 percent roam around doing stuff in VR.

5e has an advantage of not requiring doctorate in quantum physics to run ( ttrpg.network )

I would usually be sad to see another original RPG go 5e compatible but Neuroshima was infamously poorly designed ruleset, possibly worse than Shadowrun. I probably won't be running it, but may steal statblocks for my 5e game if I need weird stuff again.

It can be sorta easy to be casual if you have an extremely knowlgeable dm. I sorta started that way, session 0 and 1 just had him help us build our characters and run a 10 minute solo goblin 'dungeon' where he explained basic rules and possible actions. The moral of the story was that you can do other things beside kill npcs. Turns out if I had attempted to talk to the goblins or even explored the area I would have realized they were orphan goblin children, malnourished and afraid... Instead I slaughtered them all for no reward or reason. One hint was that non of them were armed and they always ran at my sight. Definitely stopped any murder hobo tendencies from developing. After that he did mention our rule book and linked me to read but he could have very well not and we would have chugged along fine. I prefer pathfinder now a days better.

If they can do it for john deer they can do it with cars. Give em time.

It's because it's a Japanese company. I'm not saying this out of racism but because they're known for being archaic in how they do certain things. Like game modding and work schedules. Their public transit is top fucking notch though.

That wasn't in response to my racist comment but in response to the archaic comment. They're as much archaic in procedure and bureaucracy as they are advanced in tech.

I've seen 3 separate people. Including that guy you mentioned. Reminds me of the Facebook copy pasta lul.

Agreed, I haven't driven an 18 wheeler but I've driven the big fedex box trucks for a living and even those are harder to maneuver than a regular sedan. The hardest part is dealing with people who think you leaving all that extra space in front of you is just so anyone can slip in and drive there.

That does sound like a good idea in concept. I'm sure it could work in other countries but there's fuck all chance it would ever work in the US unfortunately. Japan could totally do it.

I'm gonna start with a baby step. I want to set up a mini pc for my living room streaming. I'm thinking I'll do Linux on it and dip my toe in the water that way, eventually I'll transition to Linux on my main pc too once I get the hang of it. Most of what I do is online or open source so Im not locked to programs. It's mostly games atm, a couple of which won't run on Linux, league of legends is one if they go ahead with vanguard. I'll either set up a completely separate mini pc to only play league or quit.

Worked for luffy. The stretchy people in hero comics are usually seen as side characters who are meh, even Reid Richard's is mostly known for his intelligence over his stretchyness.

That's my first reaction too but it could very well be that the dude can't afford to lose his job if he's late. I get it, I have long commutes too.

Riven ,
@Riven@lemmy.dbzer0.com avatar

Ah fair enough. Yes that's crazy, I heard of a dude who would take 20 minute naps on his commute home he didn't even have 'autopilot' it was just fucking lane assist and adaptive cruise control. That's a death waiting to happen.

My phone started doing this not to long ago, showered a picture and full name and everything. I'm assuming it has to do with Google and Gmail and Google fi which I have. Fuck Google. I never consented to this.
