RCS was a dumpster fire for years. Only in the past couple of years has Google stepped up to be the centralized force in making it work as envisioned.
quick edit to say I agree this could’ve been avoided if Apple had made iMessage for Android, but I just wanted to point out the blame is shared by poor implementation across the board.
Having a 3d printer is super convenient for any home or shop repairs I need to make. I have so many curtain spacers and custom hooks all over the place now. The key is to get some hours in Fusion or some other good CAD software so you can whip up custom parts in minutes. You may get it wrong the first few times, but a couple minutes of tweaks and then you have a new part printing while you go back to working on other stuff.

It’s a shame that Mythbusters isn’t around to turn this into a shark week special. I’m pretty sure the myth would be busted and the only risk would be of the batteries catching fire after the shark bites one.
I buy samples from Atomic Filament when I don’t know which filament would work best for a project. They are 50g spools for under $4 each. It is usually enough filament to print out a filament sample card and a small test piece.
The majority of components you find on the used market are pulled out of working systems and will be just fine for years to come. I only recommend buying those specific items new so you are guaranteed to get all the accessories that come with them.
I’m looking forward to seeing further iterations on this fun idea. The build area is the only part that needs to be submerged and even then only when printing certain features.
