I mean they indicate as such if you read the article...

Surprise, surprise. Bank who wants infinite growth of stock prices tells companies to lower costs to be more competitive. Guess where that will come from?

Either quality or labor costs. It isn't coming from the CEO's pockets.

There are anecdotal reports of antisocial behavior, erectile dysfunction, etc in many small communities. I think yourbrainonporn.com is a good primer and rebootnation is a forum with people trying and failing to stop masterbating even to their own detriment. Make your own decision though.

Citation needed. I know you're trying to be funny, but there's actually a lot of evidence going back to 2012 that internet pornography addiction is an actual issue for many people.

Add in re-hiring those same employees at a lower rate or off-shoring to India to get 3x the head count for the same wage and that's basically what's going on.

I'm not sure if it's just me, but the page wouldn't load at all. I'm using pihole for network DNS blocking + privacy badger + noscript. Even when I allowed all the domains via noscript temporary trusting it just sat there and spun forever.

My company does badge swipe checking, checks whether you connect to the corporate wifi with your laptop, and monitors you with motion sensing / heat tracking software fron the moment you walk in the door. 3 days a week mandatory

If your LAN is already compromised with a rogue DHCP server, you've got bigger problems than them intercepting just VPN traffic. They can man in the middle all of your non-encrypted traffic. While this is bad, it's not a scenario most people will run into.

kinther ,
@kinther@lemmy.world avatar

I woke up this morning and thought of this exact scenario, then found your comment lol

Yes, this is bad for anyone who travels for work and can't trust the network they connect to.

I can't afford all these streaming services. I'm basically back to one at a time, churning through them until I run out of things to watch.

kinther ,
@kinther@lemmy.world avatar

Very well done. I loved it but won't watch it again

Yeah, my bad. Headline is ambiguous.

This is worldnews so...

Isn't even just hexbear these days. The Genocide Joe crowd posts nonstop anti-Israel, anti-Biden articles, but as soon as a Republican says something like "finish the job" they're radio silent.

kinther ,
@kinther@lemmy.world avatar

I am not denying a genocide is going on. I'm tired of the narrative I see where one political party is bad yet there is radio silence about the other side being complicit as well or rooting on the death of Palestinians.

What did you think about "finish the problem" from Trump?
