Thereā€™s a game of chicken going on. The Biden camp is explicitly counting on progressive voters eventually falling in line. This dynamic, this wager, is EXACTLY why they keep sending arms and money to Israel. They are expressly blackmailing left voters, pitting vulnerable groups stateside with genocide victims overseas. This is their calculus and millions of voters intuitively know this. Meanwhile the moral incumbency is placed on some vague cohort of Arab/black/progressive voters This is the CONTEXT of the discussion and rallying the troops at this pointā€”six months before the actual decision needs to be madeā€”reads to a lot of people as capitulation without a fight, as confirmation Bidenā€™s strategy is working in real time. I too find this incredibly insensitive and vulgar. Without ANY CONCESSIONS, without a fight at all people of influence and power should not preemptively pledge their vote. Whats the rush? Itā€™s six months from now? Itā€™s a Hail Mary but why not try to unite to pressure Biden?
Not because anyone wants to, or because itā€™s fun or makes people feel self righteous but because, and this canā€™t be stressed enoughā€”ITā€™S ALL THERE IS. And itā€™s all there is because of Bidenā€™s extremism and unwillingness to listen to overwhelming democratic voter consensus I tried to articulate this in this piece from March. I think the abstract question of ā€œis Trump worse than Bidenā€ is not a question anyone has to sheepdog for this far out. Itā€™s not clear to me what the moral utility of this is at this point.

What function does the specter of massive vote withholding have? 6 months before the election in Q media influencers and progressive politicians pledging their partisan fidelity serves no functional purpose other than undermining the SINGLE point of leverage powerless angry anti-genocide voters have, which is Team Bidenā€™s fear of losing in Nov It sucks that this is the one point of meaningful leverage they have, but it is, and itā€™s entirely due to Bidenā€™s cold stubbornness and the cracking down on on meaningful dissent.

    Every accusation is an admission with the apartheid state currently committing genocide - so that's the bit you'd do well to watch out for.

    Once you mention , thinking stops in the USian brain, and Bush style "terrorism bad" ensues. They cannot tell the difference between resistance to occupation and terrorism, so occupation, apartheid and genocide are excused once you say Hamas. Don't be that guy.

    A guy the police told to disperse the protesters did as requested, turned around to tell cops he told the crowd and was tackled to the ground like he'd tried to take their gun or something.

    Riannon was zip tied - one LEO asked what's she arrested for and another LEO calls back he "heard" she was fighting. Later the scene repeated and it was unlawful assembly or something. Entirely arbitrary.
