Italian media has said that the pope used a highly derogatory slur against LGBTQ+ people at a bishops conference. The remark may sour attempts by the pope to make the church more welcoming....
I just wonder if it actually did get worse or it just seems like that because as an adult you have a lot more on your plate than you did when you were a kid/teen
Blank page work....that's a good way to put it. In grad school writing a thesis and it's the hardest thing I've ever, ever done with my adhd. And I used to do Stem Cell and Neurobiology! The lack of a deadline which I used to pressure myself in undergrad and no protocols to follow to a T, man....
We might be in one, there's talk that Alzhiemers might be a prion disease that happened as a result of using cadavers to obtain human growth hormone. Which was then given to folk in a potentially misfolded form...
So sorry, my notifications weren't notifying for some reason and never responded. Here's the paper where the link was made, the practice of gathering human growth hormone from cadavers was stopped in 1985, but the damage may already be done and surgical procedures today may expose others to transmission unless modified 😧 lemme know if you'd like to know more, am a Biologist!
The use of astroturfers to sway or argue on social media sites, like Reddit :P, has me playing minesweeper with this comment section lol. Who is genuine and who is paid to push for a certain position?
I'll go first. Mine is that I can't stand the Deadpool movies. They are self aware and self referential to an obnoxious degree. It's like being continually reminded that I am in a movie. I swear the success of that movie has directly lead to every blockbuster having to have a joke every 30 seconds
If Pulp Fiction is on, unless it's been a few years I'll probably switch the channel, if Django Unchained is on though...I'm grabbing a snack and watching it everytime. This isn't to say Pulp Fiction sucks, just think Django's more entertaining.
"You're just using it as an excuse" is now a red flag for me that I'm talking to a garbage person and saves a lot of emotional energy kicking them out of your life.
My response is even harsher, I go with lead has a 60% chance of causing adhd and lead was banned from being put in cars at the gas station in 1996. Then watch as most people my age realize they may have been exposed. The rest of the 40% chance is autism and more severely cerebellar hypodysplasia.
Hey! I do that too! Instead of saying I have trouble committing names/dates/verbal info, I just tell folks I have a short term memory disorder. Which is true! I need to mess up someone's name or an important piece of info like 5 times until I cement it in, with guilt and embarrassment.

Anyone else feel like their ADHD was always there but got progressively worse as an adult?
