Ok going out on a limb here.
I know everyone process dealing and handling loss of a loved one is different and perhaps difficult to talk about.
This week my cousin died who was practically an uncle as far as age. I don’t know how many of you have traced your autistic own family tree. I’ve kind of made it a pet project.
My question is does anyone else find funeral homes so weird and 🤔 panic inducing both thinking of going and going.

I somehow(Yes) explicitly heard we go Thursday only family and then small gathering for food Friday .
So I go Thursday as I said I actually enjoyed it for awhile. Then as more family rolled in I started seeing more and more patterns connecting behavior. Between the non-speaking relatives so I found quite a few autistic family members who of course have no idea, but are clearly trying to mask and failing.
The reason I ask is because see my cousin was treated as the weird one in the family antisocial talked to himself a lot. the routines all matched up only talked about special interests. Preferences.
I’m an only child. In case you can’t figure it out. My mother was an only child. However my father was also autistic. My grandparents yes. 4/4 I suspect 4 out of four but I can’t match enough information.

So sorry for the long thread. Sorry If I seem a bit emotional but I am so fucking sick of people not realizing in my family why the hell they have communication issues.
They are trying to act like NT people and failing and getting upset and hardship so I have one cousin who’s passed now that was treated like someone who wasn’t bothered with.
I want to tell my family. I’m told it’s not my place. Masking autism from people who are autistic is soooo painful.

So my question is what are you supposed to do when you see Neurodivergent estranged family fighting because they don’t know the major reasons each other are melting down and staying away from each other. Black and white thinking.
People stimming all over I mean 😮. Why does it have to be a secret. I guess it’s just something I have to accept, (It feels wrong to say anything I understand what I went through, my partner my mother.

It’s not an easy road. at least there’s some fucking clarity to the road and communication is 98 percent better. Everyone understands emotions and I teach my mother healthy things she wasn’t taught as a child. They are 76. how much different their worldview is but they feel like they have a new lease on life entirely.
So what the hell am I supposed to do. I’m not licensed to diagnose. I understand mental health can be fragile. Watch them zombie?

😂 well at least on Sony headphones… bought through conventional channels. I’m skeptical about buying a used pair for 100 lol 😂 that’s how much they are over here on auction sites.

Theory of mind is basically self acknowledgement and awareness that you are an embodied organism that exists within an ecosystem of diversity with other organisms and understand your purpose as human. To me it’s knowing what you are in the principal sense in science, that you acknowledge and accept responsibility of your being, via agency.
Which perhaps is similar to early metacognition dating back awhile ago.
I could be entirely off too!☺️
I constantly struggle because my brain has made connections that are not obvious to others, and when I try to guide them through my thinking I confuse them with details or by skipping explanations that seem obvious to me but completely surprising to anyone else.

Susan lol it wasn’t you I read all the options and opinions when I first woke and was like well I kinda identify all over the place I try to adapt like a water element but I have to not let myself get distracted lol. I just thought to myself ok no time for thinking programming methods on the fly with meta cognition .
Yeah it’s weird because I have to ask myself how I really do feel lol.

Wow thats incredible…it takes awhile to get there. It’s forever a work in progress for me. It’s like a mind body embodiment and seeing yourself in realtime but from different perspectives and then combine. There some tricks to exponential change I maybe found. I just mean some choices you make have almost have propagation proponents for them.
