Lojcs , in Venison Steaks for Father’s Day

What's the thing on the right?

HonkTonkWoman OP ,

It's a cheese roll from a local shop near by. Split in half, buttered and air fried until its basically a giant crouton.

HappycamperNZ ,

You telling me I can have that plus lard bacon?

Whens breakfast

tobogganablaze , in Venison Steaks for Father’s Day

Two months late for Schniblotag.

HonkTonkWoman OP ,

I'm not sure Father's Day is my preferred time for schnitzel and oral sex. Maybe one, but both just feels gratuitous.

I mean, kind of. Looks like you opened a bag of white tortilla chips and put some ingredients on top.

SmoothIsFast OP , in Pork schnitzel with mustard cream sauce and spatzle

For all those wondering, it was still crispy when I ate it, and the sauce was delicious. Also those are pickled red onions on the side.

Mandy , in Pork schnitzel with mustard cream sauce and spatzle

as someone from austria
this has to be against the geneva convention, im sure they have a paragraph in there somewhere

ben_dover , in Pork schnitzel with mustard cream sauce and spatzle

stop putting sauce on schnitzel you savages

blarth ,

Absolutely not.

troublehelix , in Pork schnitzel with mustard cream sauce and spatzle

I'll never understand this typically German thing of soaking a nice crispy breading with Sauce. But, guten Appetit anyway ;)

PeterLossGeorgeWall ,

Im partial to just a bit of lemon myself. That sauce looks like it could be nice but put it on the side and preserve the crisp!

Blue_Morpho ,

The sauce should be thick so it doesn't immediately soak. The meal needs to be eaten fresh.

It's no different than dipping sauce on fried ragoons, pakora, samosa, etc.

ceiphas , in Pork schnitzel with mustard cream sauce and spatzle

It's called Jägerschnitzel in west germany.

ComfortableRaspberry ,

Jägerschnitzel ist a bit different:

  • Non-breaded meat
  • Cream based sauce (no mustard)
  • Mushrooms in the sauce
Schmuppes ,

Non-breaded? Don't think so.

EmoDuck ,

Originally? Yes, it's non-breaded. People (including Germans) seem to think that a Schnitzel has to be breaded.

This is probably because of Wiener Schnitzel but traditionally there are a lot of unbreaded Schnitzel

Daqu ,

Jägerschnitzel is breaded Jagdwurst with noodles and ketchup.

UpperBroccoli ,

Found the Ossi 😀

SatansMaggotyCumFart , in double smash burger

Beautiful, but lettuce doesn’t add anything to a burger except a slippery shear surface.

DmMacniel ,

Lettuce adds crunch. Needs to be fresh lettuce though.

bighatchester ,

A little less lettuce and it needs to be on the bottom . Keeps bun safe from the meat juices .

iamericandre OP ,

I love spatzle.

ChicoSuave , in Korean corn dogs (potato and spicy) and an elote

Korean food usually looks amazing and constantly smells delicious but eating it isn't as satisfying. I've had the elote and potato corndogs. Potato was super awkward to eat since it's the width of an upper arm but as short as a hand. Felt like I was trying to pelican a corn cob.

Elote was tasty but just the batter. The dog itself was bland and the batter had pulled away from the dog and fried for too long to get that gold color. The inside was super heated hot dog water and salt.

And the sticks they use are like closet rods. The result is a poorly built fantasy that looks good enough to buy and try but it's not good enough to be a repeat customer.

_sideffect , in Korean corn dogs (potato and spicy) and an elote

I find Korean food, from the videos I watch and this picture, add WAY too much condiments on top.

It's like biting into liquid

ASeriesOfPoorChoices ,

that's all of eastern Asia.

Huff_Chuggems , in Korean corn dogs (potato and spicy) and an elote

You can't just call a corn dog "potato" and not elaborate
