I have a huuuge coffee cup that I'm sure it's used at restaurants for sauces and soups. It's about 24 oz or maybe more. I'll have about three or four of those a day, sometimes less, but that's my usual.
Maybe I don't put too much coffee in it Nymore since it always tastes a bit diluted, but it's certainly more than anyone I know.
Weirdly enough, the times I've had symptoms of drinking too much coffee was when I was drinking out of regular cups. 🤷♂️
Only a 2 or 3 cups a week, my wife does all the heavy coffee drinking, we have an espresso machine and a cup one.
I mostly drink carbonated water and tea and sometimes a double espresso (fresh ground beans) with some cream. Sometimes when I really enjoy the cup of coffee I will take another cup.
Dunno mate. There are worse things you could be doing. "searching for confirmation that this isn't too uncommon" sounds like a recipe for a boring life. If you're worried about your health (but your not, you said so) ask your doctor as situations vary.
This is more than I drink on a daily basis but I don’t think it’s too crazy. I usually drink 2-3 cups of drip coffee on weekdays and 4 espresso shots on weekend days.
I rarely drink coffee on my days off, when I work I bring a 20oz mug of drip coffee with me. At my old job, I'd probably polish of a pot or two to myself most days, mostly because walking back to the break room and brewing a pot when it was empty was a good way to avoid actually working that no one ever batted an eye at.
3 or 4 double shots in the morning. Drip and (especially perc) coffee delivers more caffeine, mostly due to volume. I've knocked myself into jitters with drip on numerous occasions. Never done this with espresso.
You're fine. I've had baristas balk at a quad shot right after serving someone a 16oz. drip without even blinking. There's probably as much if not more caffeine in the 16oz. drip.
