I read the manga it was based off of first and I've gotta say it is much better than the film. The disturbing part of the film is not from the original source. The manga still hits just as hard without that additional twist
Honestly, I would skip straight to Terrifier 2. It's a much more polished film with developed characters than Terrifier 1, and you'd only have missed details about a minor side character who was also in the first movie. If you like 2, you can go back and watch Terrifier 1 (and All Hallows Eve, even though that one hardly counts as a movie or a Terrifier movie).
Meanwhile I can't even get my boomer mom to switch to Google Messages from Samsung Messages because she'd "have to relearn how to use it." Then she just continues to complain that she can't send messages over WiFi, and that when she sends or receives pictures over SMS they get compressed... 💢
