Also bunker fuel being burned in ocean shipping. Since there very little regulation they burn some of the worst sulfur-emitting fuel. A single container ship emits the equivalent of something like a few hundred thousand every car on the planet, as I recall

I've been riding the same Gary Fisher Hoo Koo E Koo Mountain Bike since my uncle found it in a sandpit and gave it to me to ride while away on my first internship. It was in somewhat rough shape back then, and it's kind of the bicycle of Thesius at this point as parts failed and I found ways to replace them....

I don't think they're trying to lose. I think they're overrun by corporate influence as badly as the Republicans, and have no strong leadership to coordinate and guide them against a relatively coordinated right wing with foreign support.

His goal is to use Israel's genocide in Gaza as a wedge issue to get people angry so they don't vote for Biden. That way the Kremlin can get their asset into the White House again. Trump has already tried to cut support for Ukraine and NATO before the Kremlin even started their barbaric war, no doubt he'll continue enabling the Kremlin if he wins again.

Side bonus any time Dimitri gets political extremes fighting each other and weakens the social fabric of the US.

There are many news stories in mainstream and alternative media about the Kremlin interfering in elections etc. They use anonymous accounts to influence massive amounts of people.

The Kremlin is willing to spend trillions of dollars for their war of conquest in Ukraine, of course they're also investing in a much cheaper and more politically palatable cultural war online.

My friend complimented how well I'm taking care of my plants and I feel compelled to confess my methods

All of my plants are next to the two spots I usually sit down. So when I have my big water cup out, I share a little with my plants and maybe pet their leafs for a second. It makes me happy to share my cuppy of water with my little plants. Apparently, this works really well and they are all growing like crazy! One of my fellas...

I learned that it's best to only water most plants occasionally, but to drench them when you do water. If they have a base, water until you see it coming out in the base.

Fair enough, I appreciate the explanation. I wasn't being rude either, I'm warning people about how the Kremlin and CCP use shills on social media.

They're authoritarian governments that regularly oppress, kill, lie, suppress information, and worse. They're using the age old tactic of divide and conquer on social media because they can't compete militarily. They're here on Lemmy, especially on Hexbear, lemmygrad.ml, and Lemmy.ml.

I suspect it would only take a few clicks of a mouse to get an LLM to only draw from a specified part of its data. For example, they could set parameters that make it heavily favor content from r/Quebec in it's algorithm.
