I'm a college professor that uses BB and try to make things as easy to access as possible. The same assignments and information can be found in multiple places in the course, i avoid using the jankiest Blackboard applications, I set things up so that text is visible without having to click through another link, etc. But BlackBoard doesn't make it easy. We're switching to Blackboard Ultra this Fall, which I think does have some improvements, especially in the UI department, but I'm doubtful it'll be much better.

It definitely wouldn't be the left image. With legs like those, you could never pull the pants up past the first (or I guess technically last) level of branching. It would either be the big pants or a large number of seperate, smaller pants on each of the lowest branches.

Basically they weren't originally planning on taking a photo of earth from the moon. The fact that they even had a camera was due to interest from a few astronauts in the earlier missions. The camera had its viewfinder stripped to save weight, so the astronauts couldnt see what they were filming. On that mission they were only planning to take photos of the moon's surface. And then they decided in the moment as the earthrise happened, that it needed to be photographed, and out of tons of shots they only got one clear image.

Maybe a little clickbaity but "It's highly imporbable that they got this shot" doesn't ring the same

I'm interested in comparison between the 2 questions. 15% of Republicans think he's guilty, but 18% approve of the verdict. 86% of democrats think he's guilty but 88% approve of the verdict. That means that for both parties, there are at least a few people who think he's not guilty, but regardless approve of him being in legal trouble. I'd like to pick their brains and see what's up.

Never thought of it that way! What a dystopian world we live in where intelligent conversation dies because there's no good way to profit off of it.

I liked season 4, but season 1 just can't be topped for me because of how grounded it was. Just normal characters from a small town experiencing supernatural things in a way that's believable. The rest of the show is good as long as you let go of any wishes that it stayed grounded like season 1.

This is a serious topic and I'm happy that students are calling attention to the war in any way they can. It's also very funny to see Seinfeld described as the voice of Bee Movie

Yeah I got into lockpicking a few years ago, figured out how to pick all the random master locks i had lying around the house, and immediately after spending like 250 dollars on some specialty, hard-to-pick locks, I lost interest. Still keep my lockpicking set in my car in case anyone locks themselves out of the house or something, but the dopamine i got from picking those first few locks is gone. On to the next thing.

    D&D Apps

Some friends wanted to start a campaign and I'm trying to digitize my character sheet. Initially I was going to use d&dbeyond so I could send my DM the character sheet digitally and make it easier for them, but I can't pick Drow without paying for the character, for whatever silly reason. I've been checking out all the apps I...

+1 for this. Keeps all of my characters nice and tidy. Whenever you level up, you pick your new abilities from a list of options, and then it'll autofill that into your character sheet. It won't autofill your spells, though, so I use a different app for that. The only downside is that some of the abilities for certain classes aren't named correctly, I assume due to copyright issues. But the names are pretty clear what they're referencing (example: Agonizing Blast = Potent Cantrip).
