They aren't American Soldiers. They're Americans who volunteered to go to Israel and serve. I guess some of them might be veterans of the US military though? Israel requires service of dual citizens if they want to remain citizens so that's a big thing about it too.

You should go read what the UN has to say about genocide. You are wrong. The idea that you have to kill most or all of a group to be guilty of genocide is the biggest misconception there is about it. The entire idea is to prevent it from starting and if it does start, stop it before it gets to the proportions of the Holocaust. At any rate the ICJ just today ordered Israel to halt it's offensive; allow official access for UN war crimes investigators; and let in all of the aid it's holding at the borders. Netanyahu immediately refused all three orders.

Edit to add - Just because I can't not. Attempted Murder is the crime they charge for trying to murder someone. So no you don't get away just because you failed. And Israel is a lot closer to succeeding than it is failing.

The government could also 100 percent fund battery research; Put a government owned company out there to make a floor in the market (5 person hatchback with minimum amenities); Give us more than 7,500 in EV rebates on a select few models; Change CAFE standards so bigger isn't automatically better; etc...

There's a lot we could do. We instead chose the most reductive and protectionist route possible. And even then Volvo (Owned by Greely) says they may be able to get a refund on the entire tariff because of the other models they produce in the US.

More people need to watch the interviews with former IDF soldiers. They openly talk about doing things to Palestinians in West Bank that are war crimes. They also say they do these things routinely. Even the arrest policy is a war crime because they aren't turned over to the PA, they have to go in front of an Israeli court. If they go in front of a court at all, instead of being indefinitely detained.
