I loathed The Lodge but thought Goodnight Mommy did a good job of being tense AF. I hope they do way better adapting this than Shyamalan did with Paul's last film.

I don't think they are. This is one of my all time fav movies!!! My kids and I do a marathon every year at the holidays.

I watched Abigail last night and I feel like this has been done before. The titles escape me at the moment but I have seen more than one movie where kidnappers end up finding out that it's not really a child they are holding for ransom. @horror
