I'm watching a 1989 Skinemax vampire movie I thought was the height of sexiness and romance in high school and, holy shit, the love interest has the most ridiculous mullet. Like, straight-up Nic Cage Con Air hair but w/ teased bangs. I keep getting the giggles 😆

I loathed The Lodge but thought Goodnight Mommy did a good job of being tense AF. I hope they do way better adapting this than Shyamalan did with Paul's last film.

is getting rid of the Masters of Horror episodes in 7 days so... apparently I now have a week to re-watch them. Now it's an exciting and frenetic game to see how many I actually get to revisit before time runs out 😆🙃

So far I've watched 3: Cigarette Burns, Sick Girl, and Pro-Life. I think I'll be able to watch at least 5 more before they leave 🤞🏼

I finally framed the gorgeous Black Phillip print @stina_marie got me for Xmas (by the incredibly talented Thornwolf https://www.thornwolf.com ).

I'll probably get a thinner mat at some so it doesn't cut off as much of the art but I lurve it so much. Also, please ignore my wonky photograph skills...I was trying not to be reflected in the glass 😆.

The author mentions that it's less like its Sandman origin (which is one of the most horrific parts of the series aside from the diner, imo). But I think that's because it's based more on the spinoff comics (which seemed very YA to me). I still loved it & feel like it marries the two.

Plus it starts leaning more into some horror in the third episode 🤷

Dread is the only Books of Blood story where I have to gird my loins before I do a re-read (jokes about "dreading" it could be made 😝). I find it genuinely disturbing in a way that I don't his other works.
