This UI component is heavily informed by ML. It likely suggested that flag because users are frequently combining that word and emoji in sentences.

He was also an inventor. After suffering a debilitating accident, he used his time during rehabilitation to focus on inventing the “Jump
to Conclusions Mat.” A floor mat that listed a wide array of conclusions that its user could jump on.

Unfortunately, I am often the sole moderator watching this community. I am looking for help, but until then, I rely on report frequency and community feedback to guide my decisions about content. There will be times when mistakes are made, and I strive to do my best in representing the wishes of the majority in this community. The recent post generated 77 downvotes and a higher-than-average number of reports for rule 3 instance violations. While this specific content may not have been a good fit here, Lemmy's diverse landscape offers other communities, or even the chance to create one, that might be more receptive to the full video.

I haven’t seen anything about the lenses being software locked. Who has reported that?

That said - they are $100 to $150, which isn’t terrible as far as glasses go. There are a lot of weird things with the Vision Pro, but as a glasses wearer, that price range actually feels reasonable to me. That’s Warby Parker pricing.

I could wear contacts if I wanted to, but glasses look good on me and hide a scar that I have on my nose and eye. I keep thinking that I should probably just do a Drew Carey. Get contacts and put non prescription lenses in my frames.

Glasses can be an inconvenience with vr glasses, ski goggle, helmets, face masks, night driving, etc.

Harris says US will ‘under no circumstances’ permit forced relocation of Palestinians ( www.cnn.com )

Vice President Kamala Harris said in a meeting Saturday with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi that Washington will not allow for the forced relocation of Palestinians or any redrawing of the current border of the Gaza Strip....

I mean, it’s just going to be like past big conflicts. Where Israel claims people were not forced to relocate.

Folks won’t be “forced,” but their lives and their family’s lives will be at great risk if they don’t relocate - so a lot of people are going to relocate if they have the option. If they don’t, they’re basically sleeping on a shooting range.

Gamers who have gamed for a long time

do you find it difficult to get into games? I’ve got Epic Games and Steam Games libraries chock-full of classic top-tier games along with many other newer games like Stray or 2077, and a bunch of indie titles. I just can’t be bothered to download and install them, much less try to get into the characters and storylines....

The older I get, I find that I tend to default to two things:

  1. Games that I've played before that help me turn my brain off. Kind of like a form of meditation.
  2. Games that have a mechanic or a story that is genuinely new or engaging.

The big user experience problem is everyone is getting funneled into Lemmy.world and Lemmy.ml, and they can’t scare fast enough.

But Lemmy is federated. So signup for a smaller instance. You’ll still be able to subscribe and post to communities on other instances.
