@RememberUsAlways@palestine@israel the problem isn’t that it’s just disgusting. The problem is after you make a deal accepting their terms, free 80 hostages and withdraw from Gaza completely, they may suddenly say “oh look! we just found 30 more hostages here in this basement, wanna make yet another deal?”
How does one manage that?
@RememberUsAlways@palestine@israel
It made me so mad this week when instead of celebrations for that brave rescue I saw just so much more pro-Iranian disinformation about perfidy and other ignorant takes.
Yes. The entire war is justified with a single hostage rescue.
I fear Hamas retaliation against any living hostages that remain. They will move the hostages for certain and then use them as political tools to extract demands.
They know that the words of US and Israel is not even worth a dog fart so they want to sign an agreement with international backers in order to have some kind of guarantees. Not that any of those countries will lift a finger to help the Palestinians when (not if, but when) Israel breaks the agreement.
@faab64@palestine@israel
we are in agreement and I share your disgust. even the Mastodon "community standard" gestapo are breaking for Israel. I get rather rude with some of the zionists and they "tell mom about my being rude." can't win but biden knows how I feel with his material support of inhumane terrorism.
#US / Biden Administration has discussed potentially negotiating unilateral deal with Hamas to free U.S. hostages
The #Biden administration has discussed potentially negotiating a unilateral deal with #Hamas to secure the release of 5 American hostages being held in #Gaza, if current ceasefire talks involving Israel fail.
Such negotiations would not include Israel and would be conducted through Qatari intermediaries, as current talks have been.
Officials say Hamas may have incentive for a separate U.S. deal as it could further strain U.S.-Israel relations and pressure on #Netanyahu.
@omar_bayramoglu @TruthSandwich is a troll. He proved so obnoxious that no other Mastodon instance would put up with him. He had to start his own instance. The fact that he could do that implies financial (and probably political) backing.
@RememberUsAlways@palestine@israel
I see how you’re enjoying the Israeli massacres in Palestine. I wanted to follow you but you’ve shown your true colors. Good luck and goodbye.
Israel, "by committing horrific massacres, was able to free some its hostages, yet it killed some others during the operation," al-Qassam Brigades' spokesperson, Abu Ubaida, said in a statement on his Telegram channel.
The actress Israeli-Palestinian Lama Tator, who hosts an Arabic culture program on #Keshet, shared a photo of Argamani after her release from captivity, commenting on appearance after long months in #Hamas captivity and the massacre the IDF carried out to release her and the others.
"Are these the faces of a hostage for nine months?" the actress wrote in a story she shared on social media. "Are her eyebrows more groomed than mine? Her skin? Her hair? Her nails? What's going on? And for her they need to kill and slaughter children, women, and innocents?"
[cont’d] Gaza civilian deaths in Israel's hostage raid may be war crimes, UN says
[…] "The manner in which the raid was conducted in such a densely populated area seriously calls into question whether the principles of distinction, proportionality and precaution - as set out under the laws of war - were respected by the Israeli forces," Jeremy Laurence, spokesperson for the U.N. human rights office, said.
Hold up. I'm not guilty of anything and your dad attempt to label me anything but giving a voice to Hostages in Palestine is nonsense. You should consider getting help from a professional if your family was a casualty of war.
I understand your trauma.
@RememberUsAlways@Scmurcott@palestine@israel Those hostages would be right there alongside the people blowing children to bits if not for the advance operation on October 7. Let's stop playing dumb here, Hamas didn't waste time tormenting civilians, although there were civilians captured obviously. This operation was planned targeting a wide swathe of military bases. You could see videos of these people being caught out in their cargo shorts and polos - soldiers deployed on a military base who like it or not, it was not "war crimes" to ambush. Unlike throwing multiple atomic bombs worth of explosives at an area the size of the Las Vegas strip. Still failing to subjudgate it, I might add, despite the massive sales to the manufacturers of the obscenely overengineered and overpriced US military aid Ukraine has been losing against. $1 billion dollars to counter a ballistic salvo composed of chaff drones and a few older liquid fuel rockets, and they still got touched at the most advanced radar and air defense layered location in the world. If any regional Resistance pole be it Iran Yemen or Iraq wants to touch their nuclear reactors, things will crumble in ways you can't imagine, no matter how the US lashes out.
@RememberUsAlways@palestine@israel The ICC does not claim equivalence, merely that both have cases to answer. Isreal could start their own internal inquiry instead.
