@stina_marie @horrorbooks @horror @bookstodon YES. House of Leaves is one of the very few books that genuinely scared me. I first read my then friend's/now spouse's copy filled with stickies and notes in the margins as she researched every footnote. I was inspired to buy a fresh copy and reread it after playing the remarkable mod myhouse.wad. Won't go into how it's connected for spoilery reasons, but it was a wild ride. I recommend that fans of HoL should play it or read about it.

@stina_marie @horrorbooks @horror @bookstodon Oh, you just reminded me of when I first read that passage. I thought I was going crazy because it was soooo familiar but I knew I hadn't read the book before. I think it was a couple of days before I remembered it was from Hey Pretty.
