Biden's primary stated reason for defending Israel is a promise to his dying father.
Not his conscience, not the people alive and around him today, not the people who voted for him, not the people who he's depending on to get re-elected.

So Biden went around congress to ship weapons to Israel against the wishes of the majority of people who voted for him in the 2020 primaries? Where are they? Why aren't they furious with him right now? Why aren't they joining the protestors?
I don't know what I'm expecting I guess. I'm so angry with Biden but at the end of the day I already knew he's not really trying to support me. Sure he'll throw my demographic a bone here and there to get some easy votes but that's about it. My anger is purely that a politician I never wanted is doing something awful that I don't support. That's a regular experience.
I'm trying to imagine what it's like to be very much against shipping weapons to Israel and have voted for the guy in the primaries who went around congress to ship weapons to Israel. I'd be asking myself questions like "Did I vote for someone who supports genocide when there were better options?" and "Is our democracy even functional?" Of course I can't know with absolute certainty what someone is or isn't asking themselves in their heads. But I would suspect those kinds of questions would elicit strong words or actions.
And also granted, there have been a lot of both. But I gotta be honest, the people I'm seeing on television do not look like the demographics who voted for Biden in the 2020 primaries. Do they to you?

Especially when subject to leftist criticism will they suddenly swing hard right. Progressive liberals will take all sorts of quasi-socialist positions, as long as they are arguing with a reactionary under an overarching reactionary climate.
But as we saw with Obama and Clinton, they will easily swing right when offered the most tepid social democratic criticism, let alone fully Marxist ones, if they fall for the propaganda that claims neoliberalism is "adult politics," "reasonable," "centrist." The same people who protested Bush's wars and called for UHC in 2007 were defending Libya and Honduras and attacking UHC in 2016.
Liberals, progressive or reactionary, are consummate opportunists. They have to be, by necessity. If your average worker maintained a consistent set of values and historical vision, we would all be revolutionaries by now. Turning on a dime to talk out both sides your mouth is the only way to uphold a liberal political party's line. "Respectability politics" can only work if people disrespect historical continuity and their own good moral/class sense.
The same day they tell a white supremacist that the police are racist and corrupt and that we need strong social programs, they will tell a leftist that community self policing/armed self defense and serve the people campaigns are ridiculous. To them this hypocrisy is nuance, but to anyone with clear historical vision and class consciousness it's just hypocrisy and a clear sign of how a protofascist develops

If moderates didn't like it they would have voted for one of the many alternatives in the 2020 primaries.
You need to cut the crap. Stop lecturing leftists and progressives and giving moderates a free pass. Moderates are the majority voting bloc for Democrats and thus they take the lions share of the responsibility. Spend your effort lecturing them.
