Dude, I only have a 36" LED and budget sound bar and I still wouldn't go to the cinema. It's cheaper to rent the movie online, I can ensure my popcorn is perfectly buttered and not burnt (truly a game changer), and I don't have to shush 2.5 teenagers every matinee night.

Theaters are dead, man.

Kika meowing loudly because she "hunted" something

Our 10yo Tabby has done this since the first day I adopted her. We found it so endearing we bought her a stuffed rat that's almost bigger than her own noggin.

In regards to sleep hygiene, that was arguably the worst decision we've ever made.

Still love the rascal to pieces!

They’re fast. Pedestrians are furious: ‘fat’ ebikes divide Australian beach suburbs ( www.theguardian.com )

Popular among teenagers, the large electric bikes have triggered ‘numerous complaints’ to councils as fears grow for the safety of riders and pedestrians

Some kid the town over from me was going max speed (~50km/h) and smoked their leg on a mailbox. Probably needed over a dozen stitches, judging by the picture.

I won't be surprised if they get regulated to half their current speed, or even needing basic licensure and an age limit to operate one.

It's the same pearl-clutching isolationism that the GOP, Tory, AfD, Likud and many other political entities of many other countries have. It's a popular outlook on life for ignorant, gullible people. Fascism will never die, that's why we as a species should never stop fighting against it.

I could see them innovating with electromagnetic suspension, like with predictive magnetic suspensions in supercars. General Atomics has also been developing a rarely green-lit, high-speed maglev train for freight in California, so we may see proliferation of that tech if the project shows success.

I wonder if a layer of Ripstop over the tiles would reduce performance. I could imagine fabric being a less expensive option than R&Ding more proprietary tech like making the tiles even smaller.

Edit: Glossed over the fact the tiles rotate. Nevermind me.

This issue extends to politicians as well. If you replace "Ancien Régime" with "Oligarchy-flavored Republic" it's almost like we're living the beginning script of the French Revolution here in America. That should induce quite the pandemic of sweaty palms in D.C. If that Oaf gets reelected, we're gonna have a Louis XVI on our hands... and we all know how that went down...
