I bought Dreamfall Chapters, which is back to its historical low on Steam. I've heard good things about it, and Dustborn from the same dev looks super promising.

At least Gibson also posts on Mastodon from time to time, which can't be said about most of the others. There are some working proxies like bird.makeup but the feeds aren't updated immediately. The federated Threads accounts are probably the next best.

They absolutely are unreasonably high. My barely overclocked 6700K is sufficient for virtually every new or slightly older game I throw at it, but somehow it's not enough for the OS?
There are already precedents of software (the Riot games) and the OS itself refusing to work if the requirements are bypassed, so it's a very risky move that nobody should choose for their main OS.
