The Facebook scare is absolute ridiculous. Threads integration can mainstream the fediverse. Basically everyone on Mastodon doesn't want anything to do with Meta, There's no way Threads would suck up a good enough amount of Mastodon's target audience for an extinguish to do enough damage.
Discuit is not a federated social platform, and we do not plan to support federation in the future either. This is because we do not believe that federated platforms, for a few specific reasons, have a chance of becoming mainstream social platforms one day.
Yeah. It's awful how when society changes to give women more responsibility (financially) that the idea of them looking solely after the children is still expected, even though they are having to work and it dates back to when they were housekeepers.
It is actually better for durability if the outer shell is removable as well. Eg, having a durable phone case on a midrange phone is better than a rugged phone. Simply being as you can easily swap the case
I'm going off of hearsay here from a video I saw years ago, but it was comparing a decently durable android in a rugged case with a purpose built rugged android phone. Both sustained similar damage but at least the one with the case could be fixed by a case swap. Other one would need a full on repair.
I think it's acceptable if the mother isn't working and the father is basically the breadwinner. Which, y'know, used to be economically viable. But if both parents are sharing the financial load then they should share the parental load as well. And even if a dad is working, he should still be a dad on the weekends and after work. All children need a good father figure.
