I tried Fedora KDE 40, it was hell to install the Nvidia drivers and it freezes randomly and when I play the screen goes black after some minutes and I have to restart.
Presumably, the person who volunteered knew all the risks and implications, so you can shit all you want on their decisions but that's how trials work. There's no promises of you coming out with a functional product.
Dude was not a consumer, it was a volunteer, a big difference. And, as far as I know, they follow the required protocols for these types of trials. Everything else is speculation.
It's easy to say the owners are shit, but if they are willing to adopt another dog, maybe this dog has a particularity they are not prepared to handle.
Sometimes it is better for the dog to go with people that can deal with their needs.
