Tofu-avocado dip

I started with a goat-cheese dip recipe and substituted toward a whole-food non-animal recipe.

New ferment underway. This batch follows what seems to be my now-standard list of ingredients except that I had forgotten to buy Medjool dates. Next time I'll remember.

    Testimonials video
    This means more to me than most people, because I experienced exactly what these people talk about. The difference is that I didn't know that my cognitive function and health could recover on a whole foods plant based diet. I was a perfect example. It just worked. From someone who couldn't remember 4 numbers and had to give up my part of the business, I am now as good as I ever was, now 74. Back in business!

    Like they said in their written testimonials, it restored my sense of self and usefulness. I wish I had done it years before.
    The thing is, I did it for Steven who is diabetic and didn't know it would do anything for me in any way. So I know it wasn't placebo effect. And no placebo could have effected that change.
    (Although if a good placebo works, I'm all for it!)

    "Can Alzheimer’s Disease Be Reversed with a Plant-Based Diet?

    Dr. Dean Ornish was the first to show, in a randomized controlled trial, that a plant-based diet and lifestyle program could apparently reverse the progression of our number one killer, heart disease––opening up arteries without drugs, and without surgery. Then he showed..."

    @Fripi @EllieK @werawelt @wfpb @vegan With regards to diets associated with longer, healthier life, the Mediterranean Diet seems to be consistently leading the way, with lots of science backing up the claim. This does emphasize healthy fats, whole grains, fruits, vegetables, beans, nuts and seeds. And, no, unless you have a diet deficient in something, you don't need vitamins, B12 or otherwise.

    @CStamp
    This diet includes fish and poultry, that is why there is no B12 needed.

    But also I can't find a study that would support your claim, can you point out any good quality evidence? All studies I looked at were basically not able to make such statements based on the design.

    New batch of turmeric paste with improved recipe.

    Turmeric paste turns out to be really useful, at least for my sort of cooking. Recipe makes 10 fl. oz. / 295 ml.

    A quick lunch that turned out to be very tasty rapini (AKA broccoli rabe) and arugula for the greens, young red garlic, Cambray onion, fingerling potatoes, and so on.

    Only thing I forgot to add: pecans.
