Organize your life with a daily journal and a knowledge base ( lemmy.world )
Half a year ago I stumbled upon two notetaking tools of which one improved my life's quality, so I thought I share my experience with the community. I'm not sponsored by either of these projects....

is ADHD harder to manage with time?
when i was a child, i had a tendency to extremely hyper fixate on various topics for months, so now that i'm older it just feels like i've experienced everything even though I technically haven't. the fixations are becoming much more quick in terms of cycles / how long they (don't) last and i spend most of my time feeling bored...
Those with executive function issues and who take atomoxetine, did/do you go to therapy or do any meditation technique? Did/do you notice ED improvements with that combination? ( kbin.social )
Just what the title says. I'm taking atomoxetine since 13 months, and this week will be my first psychological session. I've severe ED issues, to the point I can't do almost anything productive (including meditation itself), no matter how much I want to.
Task breakup
I've found that breaking a daunting task down into concrete steps and eating away at it in baby steps helps me get it done. When I take Concerta, it helps me focus on the boring nitty-gritty bits, and it enables me to focus on activities like reading where you don't have to do any planning. But the actual process planning/task...

Anxiety and depression on Vyvanse
I recently started taking Vyvanse, it's been about a week. It really does make things easier to do. Previously I had taken it for about a week and everything was going well but then I started getting anxious and depressed. Quit it for a while, started it up again and the same thing is happening. Anybody else experienced...

Anyone notice that a large chunk of their friends are ADHD or otherwise neurodiverse?

ADHD has real health effects
Compared to other killers from a public health standpoint, ADHD is bad. Smoking, for example, reduces life expectancy by 2.4 years, and if you smoke more than 20 cigarettes a day you're down about 6.5 years. For diabetes and obesity it's a couple of years. For elevated blood cholesterol, it's 9 months. ADHD is worse than the top...
ADHD + Depression is weird
I don't know where the purpose of my life is. I looked where I last saw it and it isn't there anymore. It's like losing your keychain. All I can do is hope I forgot it somewhere at home because I sure can't go outside without it. I wanna find joy in things again, and it is so difficult to get you shit together when everything...
