@filmfreak75

I'm blunt, discourteous and antagonistic, and will definitely not work in a team environment... but it's not my fault, my coworkers are slow to catch on!

This stuff reads like it was pulled out of one of those "Competency Architecture” frameworks that are allegedly designed to standardize how people think about being good at their jobs.

The last one I encountered was extremely ableist. And if I'm right, this one is too.

@felyashono @actuallyautistic this is not the standard form used in the past

this is the first time a survey worded like this has been used and i am not sure why this is being used

Looks like they think a mindless automatron is what they consider positive. Someone who will take all abuse given and not respond, or acknowledge it.

They definitely do not want autistics, or people who think at all to apply for that job.

@UnCoveredMyths @actuallyautistic this is an evaluation for a parallel job to mine

the person and i are very different in style and approach whereas they are what i call "socially appropriate” and i come across as being the opposite

this has me very shaken since this is the quiet part said out loud and i ever thought i'd see this

@filmfreak75 @UnCoveredMyths @actuallyautistic They're only potentially difficult if they're read entirely literally (yes, I know, that's a Thing). This reads like part of a work evaluation; if I saw it at work I would take the bullet points as /examples/ intended to indicate the steps between grades, not as guidance as to required behaviours.
If you could demonstrate you were a team player using examples where your solo work helped the team, for instance, I would consider that valid.

filmfreak75 OP ,
@filmfreak75@mastodon.social avatar

@Jobob @UnCoveredMyths @actuallyautistic this is a job evaluaiton form

the examples are perceptions of behavior and that behavior is subjective to a neurotypcial mindset that is preferred to the exclusion of ignoring that there are neurodivergents among them

and while in a reasonable setting showing examples of your work being as valid, this isn't the form the subject fills out -- it's what others are filling out about them -- and that is the problem

Working alone is not synonymous with not being cooperative.

18+ filmfreak75 OP ,
@filmfreak75@mastodon.social avatar

@Mendie_Taoma @actuallyautistic exactly -- a lot of these choices are very subjective and can be influenced by power dynamics

@filmfreak75 @actuallyautistic Yeah, these are incredibly biased toward social norms and ableism. (Fellow Au here.)
