I'm curious, do you work in healthcare? Healthcare adjacent? Where did you acquire your expertise on the funding and operations of healthcare?

I worked in healthcare at one of Canada's largest hospitals - in finance. The pay is below average, even in upper management. Right sizing salaries to industry standards has forever been pushed back because there isn't money for it. There are structural funding deficits. Models haven't been revisited in 15, 20 plus years. Every year there are austerity measures taken - services cut or capital spend deferred.

Even with an external financial review of the hospital operations and finances, run in conjunction with the Ministry Of Health, it was found that it couldn't get much more efficient - that additional funding was needed to cover the gap.

But of course there is no funding forthcoming.

A study clearly paid for by the Big 3D Industry.

Shame, because there have been some times that igg is the only group with a specific release.

Wait, is that actually Twitch's history - Justin.tv?

Wild. What an obscure piece of internet history to have missed out on as an old Justin.tv user.

Isn't that because it was spread by the British in the first place?

I would like to try it, but it only has a Windows Store client.

That sounds like the server side, but what about the client side?

I was hoping to use Chimera, bit with it only supporting AMD GPU's (I'm running an Intel n100) I had to keep looking. Bazzite looks interesting.

Thanks for the Fedora nod. I'm looking in to Bazzite. For Intel transcoding on the server I had to install the non-free firmware, and will probably have to do the same.

I'm happy for them. Immich, along with Nextcloud, was the driving force behind my getting in to self hosting - getting away from the ridiculous and increasing subscription prices associated with keeping family photos and documents.

It has come an incredibly long way in the time I've been using it. I've kicked them a donation or two, a first for me with OSS, because it continued to provide so much value for me.

I had read earlier that Alex was hoping to transition to working on this full time and I am happy he has been able to see that realized in - what appears to be - a positive manner.

Not in a place to watch the video, what's the tl;dw?

I had forgotten about ameliorated windows!

I probably won't use it for my folks (LTSC looks like the ticket there), but I'll definitely play around with it myself.

Why did it take so long to get this implemented during Biden's term? Why are we only seeing this just before the next election. I ask as an outsider to the states.

You are the first person I've encountered to say they are impressed with the gestured typing. All the other comments I've encountered, myself included, all seem to dislike it. It is the main thing that prevents me from switching from an offline Gboard - I am spending far too much time correcting inputs.

What about it impresses you?
