Marvel Rivals Apologizes Following Alpha Banning Controversy ( gamerant.com )

With such a broad scope on what counts as "disparagement," this has caused quite a stir among the community, with some players being banned without realizing the terms of this contract. The developers released a statement addressing these terms, with NetEase saying it is aware of the "inappropriate and...

Super House of Dead Ninjas is a gem, I hope that one stays safe.

Nice, it's already banned where I live. Can't wait to pirate it.

Guess I'll wait it out, as usual.

Actually not really. It's not sharing any of Nintendo's assets so there isn't any ground for it to be removed.

Not hacked, it's just getting spammed and I'm not sure if the mods are still active.

It's open source, and they already said they were Mac only because they used Metal for rendering. It's not suspicious for devs to use what they're most familiar with.

What's suspicious about it...?

What the fuck? I understand Arkane Austin since they dropped the ball, but why Tango Gameworks? I was secretly hoping they'd make another game like Hi-Fi Rush...

The integrated GPU for the new Intel core series are pretty good actually, roughly on par with AMD's offering if not slightly better.

It's just really difficult and expensive to make proper games for VR, and the market isn't quite there for it to be worth it. Lots of people still say Half Life Alyx is the only "full" VR game made by a popular company while a lot of PSVR titles felt like tech demos.

Because you very rarely need to actually log in on your laptop. You lock and open your phone dozens of times per day, but you'll probably log in once or twice on your laptop and that's it. It's not a feature many people would care about.

Jak & Daxter/Ratcher & Clank trilogy were goated. I know a lot of people throw around "they don't make them like they used to anymore" but in term of those two franchises on the PS2, they really don't.

As an aside, I picked up the newest Ratchet & Clank on PC and was disappointed. They tried making it so much more cinematic and story-focused with tons of scripted scenes. Also it lacked any of the satirical humor the original 3 had.

What a disaster this is for absolutely no reason.

I'm this close to blocking ani.social as well because it's mostly softcore porn. I like Anime, but not like this.

What happened to sub $1000 phones?

Brother you are the one who bought the most expensive phone on the market. You realize that you're reinforcing the market you don't like, right? Your purchase sends a message to Apple that "Yes, we want crazy expensive phones because people keep buying them"

They really fucked up and it's so heartwrenching watching it all happen. I was following the story since it started and I just can't believe they allowed anyone to download copyrighted books without a limit in 2020, without asking anyone for permission or whether it's legally viable. Everyone knew they were losing this, and they gave publishers a convincing reason to sue them. by crossing the "legally grey" area to literal piracy.

FWIW, OpenLibrary is a good source of book metadata at least, even if it fails its goal of letting people read books on it.
