@wilander @Hicsumus @bookstodon In college I met Harlan Ellison when he gave a workshop on campus in '97-98. He mentioned in passing that he only used a typewriter. Being a neurotic first-draft-by-hand kind of writer worried about the transition to composing on a computer, I asked him if he thought he wrote better that way. He said he'd never been asked that before, thought for a moment, and then said, "Yes." He did not elaborate. :)
