Some people have asked about an Android app so maybe I will try to ship it by the end of this month.
Thing is, I see thousands of users using the website but feedback/contributions etc are so small I don't even know what people want. I mean I am not expecting 5 star reviews/donations from every user using it but people don't even give good/bad feedback. I also don't want to force tracking because that's what I myself despise. So there is not way to know what people want unless they use the feedback form and tell me.
On iPhone - Click on the photo, it will open an image viewer with share option on top, tap that, save photo,
If you are using iPad then I will add the feature in next update.
To save the GIFs on both iPhone and iPad tap the save icon below every video/gif post (it is just before the safari icon)
Oh you noticed the Alien Blue reference, there is an Antenna reference too :)
Thing is apple doesn't allow everyone to open apps from safari matching a url like Android, you have to manually verify the app on your domain. I will provide a bookmarklet that you can tap and open the url in rdx.
I can do the multireddit thing, maybe in next update.
This shouldn't happen, I have tested the app on multiple devices. Try this go to the settings tab, click on donate page or appearance page then try swiping left to right from the left most edge. If even that doesn't work please tell me about the device you are using.
So the problem with Redgifs is a messy one. There are two ways to embed their videos, one is through their embed code which includes lots of redgifs branding, is tiktok like and not so natie (but it helps them track you etc). The other is a mp4 file that just works like any other video except they don't have audio. Since almost all of the gifs on Redgifs are nsfw I chose the kater method to display their vids. You can always click the little safari icon (or the globe icon on android) and view the redgif with audio.
I posted about that here and forgot < https://lemmy.world/post/896361> but today when I checked cloudflare analytics it showed about 1000 pageviews in last 24 hours. Looks like some people are using it so just wanted to let you guys know that it works, no ads. no popups nothing.
You can't login or anything but it's good for viewing posts and media and you can switch subreddits easily by clicking on the page title in the center like Apollo. Also it's on Github.
For those who lurk on Reddit - my ad-free, open source Reddit viewer RDX is an iPhone app now ( apps.apple.com )

Posting the update here because most of the users of RDX come from Lemmy community only....
Coincidence? Or is IKEA doing some astroturfing to hide bad news? ( lemmy.world )
My reddit web viewer still works! Story: When reddit killed 3rd party apps, I uploaded a web viewer I have been using for myself to Github pages for everyone to use... ( rdx.overdevs.com )

If you want to lurk on Reddit, you can use this web reader I built for myself when I got inspired by the Apollo app years ago ( rdx.overdevs.com )
