Ok going out on a limb here.
I know everyone process dealing and handling loss of a loved one is different and perhaps difficult to talk about.

This week my cousin died who was practically an uncle as far as age. I don’t know how many of you have traced your autistic own family tree. I’ve kind of made it a pet project.

My question is does anyone else find funeral homes so weird and 🤔 panic inducing both thinking of going and going.

Yes, many autists have a strong feeling for injustice of any and all sorts. I think it stands alongside honesty in our most basic and deep emotions?

@NPR Here we go again... "treating autism". NPR, can't you do better? Or we're going back to treating homosexuality and transgender as well? 🤬

Yes, I think many of us agree that our condition is not a disease to be cured, but only a difference. And besides, there is no 'cure'. The only way to stop autists from being born is eugenics, and I hope everyone knows how wrong and undesirable eugenics is...

The fact is that all 'therapies' offered to autists or their guardians are not intended to benefit us. They are intended to make us more convenient, and less disturbing, for NTs. 😐

The background to this is that people have a choice: be yourself, and get rejected, or pretend to be NT, and get rejected, but not as quickly or as often. The NT population WILL NOT accept us for what we are!
