There’s a lot more telemetry. They’re stuffing ads into it (start menu, explorer panels, etc). They’re creeping generative cloud AI into it. The control panel/setting situation is unbelievably unfinished (for myself, all my audio devices take the name of other audio devices so they’re all working but mislabeled). A recent update broke all VPNs. High system requirements. Locking down features. Removal of customization. Buggy updates. Slow.
Everything you used to write this comment was at least partially made in China, let’s not pretend after 40 years of the world outsourcing to them that the don’t have the skill, infrastructure, or money to do what America did in the 70s.

Computer noises are the focus in the festival setting, it’s not a distraction.
Pen clicks are little momentary brain erasers that rip the attention you’re so desperately trying to focus away from the thing you’re focusing on, and now you have to struggle constantly to get it back with each one.
Pen clicks would be no problem if you were intentionally focusing on someone clicking their pen.
