One of my goals for this year is to get better at identifying, naming and validating my own emotions. A lofty goal for someone with alixethymia, but I've got a coach and so far it's helping. One thing I've read in one of my workbooks is that people with alexithymia often use songs, scripts from songs or books to help them identify and share emotions. That me!!! Sooooo, I've made myself a playlist and am adding them songs that describe or have described some of my deep emotions. I wanted to share some into the Mastodon void, see if the void may also know some musical gems for my playlist? Please share along with the bit of lyrics that really speaks to you of you like! @actuallyautistic

Our emotions tell us a lot about what’s happening in our lives.

Because of people telling us that we emote wrong and alexithymia, however, we lose touch with them. Then we get bullied for being “emotionless”

How do you get in touch with your emotions?
