The White Lotus meets Knives Out meets Crazy Rich Asians in this devilishly entertaining debut novel: both a sophisticated locked-room mystery in the tradition of Agatha Christie, and a provocative literary whodunit for the twenty-first century.

Book 24: Summerwater, by Sarah Moss.
This novel consists of several vignettes in which we are shown the same situation (holiday cabins in the Trossachs, incessant rain) from the point of view of various characters, each with their own troubles and complaints. And then there's that one house with the loud music that seems to unite them in annoyance... Very well written.

Just finished Eileen by Ottessa Moshfegh and as the other books she'l has written that I already read it's amazing.

All the trigger warnings, and it contains all the different sparks of glittery darkness, lonely people that happen to be born under the wrong circumstances in the wrong environments.

I’ve written some thoughts on Blind Spot: Exploring and Educating on Blindness by Maud Rowell, a short book that packs a punch! These essays are so insightful, writing about issues I’ve been thinking about recently in a far more eloquent way than I could ever manage #BookReview @bookstodon @disability

"So I flatten myself and the car starts again, and for the next few minutes I see nothing. [.] He has considerately moved his feet to give me room. Nevertheless my forehead is against his shoes. I have never been this close to his shoes before. They feel hard, unwinking, like the shells of beetles: black, polished, inscrutable. They seem to have nothing to do with feet."

The Witch King. By Martha Wells.
You are a demon prince that inhabits mortal bodies in a strange land full of mortals and non- mortals who have access to various powers, which they mostly only use to acquire more mundane powers of social control.

My is brief/won't spoil, to spread good, great, & spectacular far & wide.

THE TRUEST SENSE showcases Laura Keating's unique & deftly scary stories: some sneak up quietly- some gleefully go full-throttle into nightmares- but all 15 tales are atmospheric & vivid, with an aura of permeating horror that provides an imaginative, satisfying journey into the Weird.

Cloud Puppy is a colorful and fun graphic novel about two best friends extremely excited to go to their first comic book convention. One is a puppy and a cloud, and the other is an unicorn bear ! Yes ! Kelly Leigh Miller’s world is extravagant and kawaii, full of incredible and magically cute creatures.
