Possible long-term effects these boycotts will have on the Israeli economy: higher living costs and reduced competitiveness. But the Israeli government's policies and actions are leading to increased international isolation and economic damage, and Israelis will, ultimately, bear the costs of these decisions.

The Museo Reina Sofía in Madrid is organizing a special program from May 8 to September 30, 2024 in solidarity with #Palestine and as a call to end the war and genocide in the region. The program, which was initially titled “from the river to the sea”, includes lectures, conversations, and encounters with Palestinian artists to connect their struggles to international solidarity networks.
76 universities in #Spain decided to sever cooperation relations with #Israeli#universities and research centers and linked the return of cooperation to the occupation universities’ condemnation of the #occupation army’s invasion of the #Gaza Strip.
#Spain / Spanish Universities Will Suspend Relations with Israeli Campuses if They Don't Reject the War in Gaza
Spanish universities have announced that they will suspend collaboration agreements with Israeli universities and research centers if they do not condemn the military operations in the Gaza Strip. The Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (Crue), representing 77 public and private universities, has denounced the "very serious events" in Gaza and called for an "immediate and definitive cessation of military operations by the Israeli army" and "any terrorist action."
